  • Do away with 'Display Until' and 'Sell By' dates and instead only retain the 'Use By' dates. Then supermarkets would have to keep selling products right up until they went out, albeit at a reduced price.
  • Private landowners are forced by law to put clear restriction notices where any restriction applies yet local councils can put a sign at the start of the zone which maybe a considerable distance from where you even start to look for parking. Single yellow line signage should be no more than say 50m from any point of the yellow line - this would easily include the next lamp post so limited need for more posts.

Banks should only be able to charge for going overdrawn if the bank statement shows a negative balance.

Quite agree with this also can never understand why people like Tesco have Disabled spaces so far from the shop when the Parent and Child spaces are right at the door, yes they need wider spaces but why do they need to be next to the shop when the people that really need to be there are expected to walk a long way

Actually I've found too many drivers willing to mow you down with children/prams in tow if you park at the back of a car park and then have to navigate to the shop entrance, so yes these do need to be near the shop for the safety of children! Another case of someone only thinking of themselves.

I have two kids and I earn 60k a year, My wife earns 13k and i have just lost child benefit. Two of my staff are married and earn 50k each BUT will receive the full amount... Child benefit should be judged on household income

    Dear Sharkmark,
Pay enough of your £60K into a pension.., and you'll get the child benefit, and claim the 40% tax back and end up paying 15% on the pension income instead of 40% on earnings.
  • The first five years are the most important in a child's life. Pay mums to stay at home, releasing jobs, helping unemployment and reducing job seekers allowance. This will also improve values and behaviour of the next generation and solve many social problems we have in society today.

When contacting companies (utilities, shops etc), I get fed up of being only able to find 0845 or 0870 numbers listed. Could there be a legal obligation to also have a geographical phone number made available, in addition to the premium rate ones?

I am seriously cheesed off with ticket touts. A concert sells out in record time and you were not quick enough to get a ticket. You will find one on E-Bay or similar sites but the bump up in costs is awful.

Something needs to happen about this, it drives me (and others) nuts.

Stop withheld numbers that way companies/organisations/ people can be reported. Fined and stopped.
