  • Why should we have to go to several agencies to see our own credit files, and why do we have to pay for the privilege after 30 days? Information from all agencies should be available in the same place, and should always be accessible for free at any time.
  • OAP's should have the same annual pension increase as MP's.
    i.e. Pensioners get 2% increase, MP's get 2% increase.
This will save the country a lot of money and will go some way to proving that "We are all in it together". Leading by example is honourable.

Grit/’de-snow’ pavements as well as roads.
Frozen snow is a health&safety hazard on roads as well as pavements, for pedestrians. A little can make a big difference - why other countries geographically level with the UK handle snow better than us? UK shouldn’t be so surprised and unprepared for snow.

I agree. My children are still nursing wounds gained on the 5 minute icey school run last week. Goodness knows how the elderly coped.

Thismay be controversial but means test state pension so millionaires are not getting a pension they do not need.

Failing that create an opt out.

Every applicant that applies for a job, should receive confirmation that their application has been received AND whether they were/weren't successful.
It doesn't have to be by letter, it can be email, text or phone call.

Under the current system of tax bands, the highest band is H, which includes all properties that were worth more than £320,000 in 1991.

Someone who owns a house worth tens of millions of pounds in central London can pay the same amount of council tax as someone with a relatively modest suburban home.

Create a new band and increase the tax payable.

Scrap Child Benefit and Tax Credits then give all children from their 1st birthday 2.5 days in nursery per week free of charge enabling mum's to work more hours without huge nursery bills

OK in theory but jobs that are only 2 1/2 days a week, school hours only are like finding gold dust.

There's a growing body of evidence linking cannabis use with mental illness. Also, if we're going to legalise any more drugs (we already have alcohol and tobacco), let's not choose an antisocial drug that is smoked and therefore affects people near the user.
In my view, the emphasis should be on educating people to use all recreational drugs less, legalised or otherwise.

The same people would be smoking it regardless of legalization so the same people close to them would still be affected plus like I said if it was coffee shops and pharmacies not legal to smoke in public unless in coffee shops then you have your own choice weather to enter certain shops or not.
Think of the benefits to uk economy more cash into economy and less drug dealers +less drug/turf war related crimes.
like I say im against drugs but it just makes sense
there is also alot of evidence that cannabis is safer than cigarettes and alcohol added with the medicinal purposes of cannabis.

    Hi,

Every year, councils go and splash out loads of "excess" cash repairing roads that do not need to be touched in the first place, because they have to get rid of their budget or they'll have their spending cut. I propose that we cut the budgets regardless. The councils clearly don't need this much money if this is the case.

I'd also propose to placing a ban on road re-surfacing using stone chips. The repairs don't last long enough, and furthermore, when stones are put down, they are rarely swept back up again, and as a result end up causing damage when they are chipped up and hit pedestrians and their houses, cars etc. Its alright putting a 10mph road limit sign down, but no-one sticks to it and everyone knows it!. People are not going to change so change the method instead. Rather than re-surface a road that is fine in the first place, spend the money and do a total overhaul of the roads that are in actual need of a re-work.

    Anyone agree?
  • Ongoing awareness of the middle word in "Public Service Vehicle" is woefully lacking in most bus drivers. Regular high-handed ignoring of passengers' needs (wish to board, comfortable ride, to name but two) is a travesty of Service. "Real teeth" inspectors / monitors of "Service" are desperately needed.
