Legislation should change so all financial lending products track BoE. (mortgages, credit cards, loans etc)
BoE base rate is lower than ever yet the working man sees no benefit.
More disposable income, kickstarting the economy.
Currently bank rates track the LIBOR rate. Banks have been fixing this rate.0 -

Pensioners teach children how to cook with fresh ingredients.
Children teach pensioners how to use computers to shop online.

Landlords receive tax relief on mortage interest which encourages buy-to-let. This privileges landords over those trying to 'buy-to-live'. I suggest mortage interest relief be abolished for future buy-to-let but implemented for 'BUILD-to-let'. This would stimulate home-building, encourage property investment and increase the supply of new housing without government cash.0

Carer's Allowance is to fill gap between part-time and full-time for those that cannot work full-time because of caring. It is £58.45 pw, and you are allowed to earn up to £100 pw and still qualify. Unchanged in 5 years, and CA only up £3 pw. Is £158 really full-time equivalent?0

Increase the minimum wage to a living wage, working full time for minimum wage does not allow a single person without children to earn a proper living.
CEO's wage increases should be capped to the lowest earners wage increase.
The divide between rich and poor is too great.
Work must pay, it should not be possible to earn more on benefits than in full time employment. BUT this should not restrict the genuinely sick and disabled.0 -
ALL telephone numbers to government based offices ie. family credit, tax office etc etc should be 0800 numbers or at least land-line numbers which most people an get free of charge.
Some years ago whilst needing to make this type of call I racked up huge telephone bills hanging on and being transferred at a time when I could least afford it.0 -
I agree wholeheartedly
Nowadays you see jolly TV adverts showing happy people who've got their cashflow problems sorted... - then look at the bottom of the screen, and it says APR 2050%! This should be illegal - 30% is too much in actual fact, nobody should pay that much. Educate, too - in schools and afterwards.0 -

It's working in Wales alredy - we pay 5p and the shopkeeper has to give all profit to charity. :T0 -
