Millions of pounds of unused medicines are incinerated every year. 9 in 10 prescriptions are dispensed for free. If every item instead attracted a fee of just £1, this would make each and every one of us think before we get a prescription dispensed.. am I going to use this? This would save the money the NHS spends on dispensing medicines that are never taken.0

Everything seems to happen in the south all the best shows ect i.e ideal home show ,top gear, major fashion events to name just a few.
As if people from the north have the plague we already get the worst pay in the country so why should we have to spend all our money on traveling to london to see these shows they should have them up here even if they are smaller events would be nice to go to one without costing costing an arm and a leg.
Where would you place the border (wire fence, guard towers, floodlights ) think mini Berlin wall across UK .:):):)The richard montgomery matter0 -

check tank before leaving
fill full before returing car
use another car hire company

Devise a system of all people on remand or in prison to actively repay society by employing them either within or outside prison, doing the likes of clearing rubbish from the sides of motorways, railways, canals; and repairing damage caused by violence etc.0

Absolutely agree. No one should get honoured for something for which they have already been well paid !0 -
Don't let anyone move to the UK unless they have a job, a house to live in and a certain amount of money in a bank account. Certainly don't let anyone claim benefits that isn't British or hasn't contributed tax. The recent story in the SUN about the Lithunian former student claiming £25,000 a year is pretty standard where I live in London. I work full time but can't afford to have children or have my own house and have to rent a single bedroom in a house with 6 other people. At the moment I'm seriously considering finding a man to impregnate me and then leave him and never work and claim up to £25,000 a year in tax credits.
Seriously, who ever thought up the current system. It was introduced at first to support those in dire need and now the system makes those earning an average wage worse off (by a long way) compared to those not working (single mothers in particular).0 -

But is it fair, for example, on people who, for no fault of their own, live a long way from their work place or other essential facilities?0 -
My suggestion:
Outlaw this scam some employers pull on their staff - workers are put on low hour contracts but asked/expected to come in to do lots of "overtime". However, they don't count all this "overtime" when working out holiday pay, cheating their staff out of their fairly earned wages.
I say this because I work for a certain big "green" (not in the eco friendly sense) supermarket and was asked to work 25 hours a week all year. When I took my holidays it turns out my contract was only 1/5 of this, so I got a fraction of what I should have been paid.
I know someone who worked at a call centre for Argos and they were doing the same, so i guess this is widespread.0
