    Yes. I've now had a welcome pack from M&S but no letter with the code yet.

    At what point in changing over to M&S do I opt for paperless billing?

    I received the welcome to Fix & Save booklet and read that the standing charges were higher than expected, only to work out that they are not for paperless billing. I dont remember an option during the sign up process.

    After registering for M&S Energy it asks you to add your account but I do not believe I have an account number yet, so do I have to wait for further details?

    Is it not possible to enter meter readings online?

    The accounts eventually appear on your online account without you having to add them.

    The option to enter online readings also appears on the account a few days after the switch happens.

    The accounts are available on both M&S and SSE sites.

    So far everything has been smooth and efficient......some of you are just too impatient.

    Have received all my paperwork now for switching tomorrow ... also British Gas just took another payment today that they assured me wouldn't be taken. Aaaargh :(

    Possibly, but it seems somewhat perverse that they should suggest giving initial readings by a method that is unavailable at the time!

    Well the card I have says: "Simply login to your account at .... or call us on the number below. Alternatively, fill out this card and send it back to us in the post.".

    I went with the phone option, but it's a bit of an odd automated process that seems to just record your voice, there wasn't any real confirmation that you'd done it successfully.

    My letter said phone or post, but the card said phone/post/online ... same as above, can't do online yet ...

    Went through the switching application, only to get a letter a week later to say that as I'd said I had a standard meter and the records say its economy 7, they'd cancelled the switch entirely.

    I do have an economy 7 meter, but its wired as a standard, ie only one dial ever goes round. My current supplier EON know this and have no problems.

    I called M&S for advice, and they said I would have to reapply, say economy 7, then once with them get them to change the meter to a normal one. What a faff.

    And now, of course, the offer is no longer available. Oh well, that's one way to lose a customer you never had!
