Twinings Every Day is my fave. I also like Yorkshire Gold.

Decided to chance 27p last week and bought a box of these teabags - surprised at just how good a cup of tea they make. Usually buy the big box of own brand teabags from Mr S or Mr T but after trying the basics teabags from Mr S have found that they make an equally good cup of tea for approx a third of the price.#Life isn't about waiting for the storms to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain #We must be willing to let go of the life we planned so as to have the life that is waiting for us #If you focus on what you have left behind, you will never see what lies ahead - Gusteau/RatatouilleGC 2022: £0/£2,500 total spend0 -

I'm just the same, I buy PG if on special offer, but usually it's Tetley that comes first! PG Tips comes a close second.
I bought some that were on offer a while ago at Asda & you got a free Monkey mug that changes when you fill the cup lol.

I often wonder why that tea is so cheap. I thought that maybe they put more dye or something in it to make it look stronger?0 -
PG is my fave too. The only other one I drink on a regular basis is from aldi -The english breakfast tea at 99p for 80 bags.Back on the trains again!0

Sainsbury's Basics is not at all bad - a bit weak, so I tend to use 3 in a pot rather than 2, but still cheap at the price.
My least favourite is Typhoo which always seems rather tasteless.
Special offers can be confusing, but I work it out like this: a bag of 80 "sandard" tea bags weighs 250g, and I reckon if you can get tea at around £1 per 250g then it's a good deal (Sainsbury's Basics is still miles cheaper though!).
So always look for the weight on the larger packs. Catering tea bags are usually smaller, but if you use a pot, you can always cut the tea bags open and use it like loose tea.0
