Bit of a bargain at that price too,
If you don't find joy in the snow,
remember you'll have less joy in your life
...but still have the same amount of snow!0 -
I heard a program on the radio the other day about http://www.rareteacompany.com/
an ethical tea company, getting some for my birthday, I hope, lots of hints given!0 -
My daughter in the US gets her PG Tips from Amazon.com lol0

I love PG tips too and love a bargain....but after almost 3 weeks I am still waiting for Tesco to explain to me how the weights and prices of PG Tips works.
40 bags boxed weigh 125g
160 bags boxed weigh 500g
240 bags boxed weigh 750g........so far so good
460 bags in a bag weigh 1kg.
Now if there were another 20 bags in the pack that would be 480 bags, or twice the 240 bags at 750g = 750 x 2 = 1.5kg
20 bags weigh around 62.5g based on 40 bags weighing 125g
according to my maths 480 bags should weigh 1500g not 1062.5g (adding weight of 460 to weight of 20)
So what am I missing? Is there less tea in the bags of a 460 pack?0 -
The reason I asked Tesco was because they had some 240s on offer and I was trying to make sense of the pricing and see which was the best deal. The price per 100g was about the same but when you did the sums per teabag a different answer came out.....I was confused by their pricing.0

Try buying coffee refills at asda, save the cost of the jar. Jar=£4.00, Refill £4.38
Same weight. Mad.
Anyway we prefer Clipper tea, with PG tips second when its £4.00 for 240I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
The 460 in a bag are 'catering' tea bags and are smaller as they are designed for a smaller 'cup' of tea.
They are a total waste of space if you like a proper cup of tea.
I drink Glengettie or Yorkshire Hard Water for a proper cuppaThe best portion of your life will be the small, nameless moments you spend smiling with someone who matters to you.0 -
I tend to buy whats on offer. Recently got Typhoo a bag of 300+ in a bag as it was cheap in Home Bargains. It will last us ages only have a couple of cups a day0

Sainsburys Basics tea is by far the best tea I've tasted, and at 27p for 80 it's blooming good VFM. Buy a pack, try it, you've only lost 27p if you don't like it. If you do like it, you will saVe yourself £'s and£'s over the years.0
