my ex has asked today for a copy of the remorgage details to give to the tax office with regards to the account being frozen to prove the money was from the remortgage of the house in a bid to un freeze his account.... although i still dont believe any this , but as he is half owner to the house i cant really refuse his request.
I am however worried he may be using this in some way .. i.e is it possible for him to use this to get a loan or something ? without my knowledge.
Im just a bit concerned about what his motives are. will it be ok to provide him with a copy, what do you think ?
You are not his secretary. Tell him to go and speak to the lender himself and sort out his own affairs.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -

although last week i found a paper document in his drawer as though he was trying to apply for a loan dating back many years ago with my name on it and his .. so this is why i am worried.(he has obviously tried before without my knowledge)
Knowing what he's like, I wouldn't hand over your copies of the paperwork to him.
Are you making regular checks with one of the credit check agencies in case he's trying to use your details?0 -

Ask him to give you the contact details for the person/department he's dealing with in the tax office - plus his reference number with them, and any other important information.
Tell him that once you've got those details, you're quite happy to send copies of the paperwork directly to the relevant person/department.
If he insists on copies of the paperwork, tell him 'no', and reiterate your offer to send the info directly to the tax office. Let him know that the alternative is for him - or the tax office - to get details from the lender.
But, to save him all that hassle, you'd be quite happy to send the info directly to the relevant office.

Please don't give him anything with your signature on it. My ex was more than happy to attempt to take out all sorts in my name so be very careful.Spam Reporter Extraordinaire

Could you put a marker on your credit file disassociating yourself financially from him so the he can't get anything in joint names?Life is not the way it’s supposed to be. It’s the way it is. The way you cope with it is what makes the difference.0

I will however be booking to see my solictor as soon as possible and tell him of my concerns. I will also order a credit report this week to find out if anything suspicious has been going on.
I wont give out any other details to him and ill tell him to contact the mortgage provider himself.

I Have been there, done it and could write a book about some men and thier lies!!
My ex husband had an affair for 6 months in plain sight of people and no one noticed!! I even believed his excuses for where he had been etc!!
turned out that he had an affair with this woman, who loved 4 doors down from one of our best friends!!! how did he get away with it...
well he parked in the council depot carpark.. and had a red van that was almost identical to one of council men... the only difference a 4 on his vans registraion number.. a 3 on council mans!!!
he only got caught out, when i was away on mainland in hospital for an op.. came home and found an earring in my bed.. and when i searched his van a reciept for fancy foods for dinner and also it had vodka on it, an he only ever drank scotch!!!"Aunty C McB-Wik"

Im also shocked at what i thought i had a good sense of perception and could spot a bad character from a mile off .. yet i allowed all this to happen to me !0
