Scottish Power overcharged me £1300 and are evading making a refund

Going on about this question of who is being offensive and who not on this thread, I recall someone (who seemed to be trying to threaten other people in case they should think of doing what I have done) referring to me as a baldric. I had never heard the word before, but on reference to a dictionary I came to the conclusion that it was intended to be derogatory and possibly to intimidate if possible.
Does that not count?
That person, it seems to me, must have been one of the SP correspondents otherwise they would not have bothered. It is too petty.0 -
Hey, I am not a representative for Scottish Power. I did, however, mis-spell Baldric - I meant 'Baldrick'.

And, no, I did not 'threaten' other people to not use your strategy - I warned them against a rather silly and inadvisable and unworkable idea.0

Nada
Whether you are employed by Scottish Power direct or not, your message seems clearly designed to facilitate any dishonesty SP would like to indulge in.
I note that David has not written further. Hmmmm. Perhaps we all know how they do things here.0 -
Still no word from David at Scottish Power.
Having got this far, the only question left for me is exactly who is engaging in fraud.0 -
SPcustomer sorry for the delay in replying to your post I was out of the office last week.
Anyone posting on behalf of ScottishPower does so under the official ScottishPower company representative MSE ID-anyone else is posting on their own behalf.
The complaints process was exhausted in your case which was why we referred you to the Energy Ombudsman.
I will not comment on other complainants here, only about your case.
We have recorded a number of previous complaints for you, if you require specific dates I will be happy to e-mail these to you on request.
We may only edit the content on our own posts, if we do so it is usually to correct typographic errors.
Your charges have always been detailed on the invoices issued, as far as we are concerned they are a true account of the energy used.
We aim to provide a high standard of customer service to all our customers.
If you engage with the Ombudsman process, they will provide an independent view on the case and will propose a resolution which will be binding on ScottishPower.
David“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Scottish Power. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

Just because you are paranoid doesn't mean we aren't all out to get you. :rotfl:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
As we have a (Scottish) power cut here I am having to log in using someone else's computer in another district, so I will answer both those messages when the power is back on. As the power cut started on Friday at 2pm and it is now Saturday at 2.50 pm I imagine it will be some time yet.
Some SP vans turned up late this morning.0 -
It is now about 5pm and the power came back on at about 4.30, so we have had a 26 hour (Scottish) power cut.
First of all Fire Fox:
Your average 'O' level English teacher would ask you to clarify what you are trying to say, whilst if you were a law student your lecturer would probably ask you if you were being ambiguous deliberately.
Are you trying to say (a)' Just because one is paranoid.......'
Or: are your trying to say (b) 'Just because you (meaning me) are paranoid.....'
Either way, it is not relevent whether I am paranoid or not. The issue is the same whatever else is going on.
Are there perhaps better things for you to do with your time?0 -

The question was not whether those correspondents had the right to represent SP but how many of them there were. Personally I don't care, but the public need to know how you go about things.
What on earth is the point in trying to do something privately which would be better done in full public view? Are you not trying to project the idea that your company is honest?
I notice on my December 2012 bill you have charged me for economy 7 when I have nothing wired up for economy 7 and the economy 7 fuseboard is switched off. So what is going on there?
Of course I need to know what dates I complained. Did I not ask you? I also need your admission that Scottish Power has at no time before I came on this forum suggested that I might like to try your (non-independent) omudsman service.
Aiming to provide a high standard of service is quite different to actually doing so.
The 26 hour power cut I believe exceeds your usual ones. Congratualations. Soon you'll be able to cut it off altogether and still keep on charging us.0
