Anyone used Glasses Direct??

  • I've got to say, I've not had the best experience with glasses direct. The selection of frames is wonderful & at great prices but I will never be purchasing lenses from them again after this complete inconvenience.

After receiving my glasses I noticed that I couldn't see as well as I should be able to through the centre of the frames. I did a bit of research online and found what I thought was the problem but when contacting glasses direct my initial concerns were dismissed. I had to send the glasses back for them to check over which I did. Although they provide a prepaid envelope they clearly state that if an item gets lost in the post it's not their responsibility so I felt obliged to pay for recorded delivery. So I was already out of pocket once.

I received a call saying they'd checked the glasses and they were fine, as I suspected they would be. Now they were willing to check for the problem that I thought it would be and n order to do that I had to send them an old pair of glasses. Again, a pre paid envelope was sent and again, the same message stating they wouldn't be responsible if the item was lost in the post. These are glasses I wear and I really do want them back so once again I had to pay for recorded delivery. So I am now out of pocket twice and I'm not impressed.

It's now been 2 days since they received the glasses and I've had no communication what so ever from them. A quick email from them informing me that they had received my glasses would have been nice and I don't think I'm expecting too much wanting that?

Each day that goes past with no communication from them frustrates me even more and if I don't receive all three pairs of glasses back soon I'm not going to be impressed at all.
