I have just bought a pair of Bolle Pigalles from them for £130 including the lvl up from thin lenses and all their lense stuff. Got about £15 from quidco. They also have a 14-day money back no questions guarantee.
I got my puppilary distance measured by an optician for a £5 as DA refused. When measured I came out as 66mm which is 3mm over average however the optician said I should go to 65mm which would compensate if the classes didn't 100% fit.Buy for value not cost.
Feb Grocery = £55.87 / 800 -
the 39dollarglasses.com do a printout of a pupillary distance measure which would help with glasses direct too0

HI y`all !!
Just wondering if anyone has used glasses direct, I know there prices are very reasonable and after getting my eyes tested this morning, was not willing to pay £200 for a pair from Dolland an aithcinson !
Or does anyone know of any more glasses companies !!
Cheers !
Yes I have just had a pair of bifocals from them - cost £48, they arrived in 7 days and are great. I didn't want to pay high street prices only to find they didn't suit me as I have previously had varifocals which I didn't get on with and wasted a lot of money. They were very efficient and I would thoroughly recommend them.0 -
Incredibly happy with them - I went for nearly the cheapest pair they do as we are totally skint and it came to £21 total I think (I got a discount code online by doing a search in google) and came super fast. They are really well made, not falling apart like others I've had, at the joint, no eye ache whatsoever, look lovely apparently and have a really sturdy case so not getting damaged at night or when I'm in the bath.
Completely totally and utterly recommend them to everyone that has to have glasses.Do not feed the trolls please.0 -
I took up the offer that was promoted on here last month, 2 pairs for £13 with the groupon voucher and have had nothing but problems with them.
When I placed the order the website was so slow it was almost unusable (expected given the offer), when I finally did manage to complete the order, the confirmation email that I received had completely different frames in it to what I'd ordered.
I contacted Customer services who said they'd amend the order, but insisted that I had ordered the wrong frames, despite me having print outs confirming I hadn't. they agreed to amend the order, but by now, one of the frames I wanted was out of stock and I was told it would be 2 weeks for them to come back in to stock.
The other pair were sent out about ten days later and when they arrived I was horrified to find that they were nothing like the image shown on the site. They were cheap, nasty looking frames, but as they were only going to be an emergency pair I just put them to one side.
Almost one month on and I'm still waiting for the other pair. I've sent numerous emails to them and been fobbed off with excuse after excuse and now I'm being told that the lab have misplaced the glasses and the frames are now out of stock again.
I'm sending the other glasses back and having a full refund.
**Update**
Since posting on here I've been contacted by their customer care manager who has apologised for the poor service that I had the first time round. He offered me a discount on glasses to encourage me to give them another chance and as he seemed genuinely concerned about my experience I thought I'd give them another go.
I placed an order for home trial on the friday afternoon and surprisingly the 4 frames arrived the next morning. I placed the new order on sunday night and received an email confirming my order straight away (the correct frames this time). I had an email on monday to say that one pair were in the lab and the others were on their way to the lab.
Still early days, but this is looking like a much better experience than the first time. I'll update again once the glasses arrive.0 -
I've used Glasses Direct before using their BOGOF offer, it cost me around £50 for two pairs. I can honestly say that I could not be happier with the service I received, they kept me upto date with emails and delivered the glasses approx. 7 days after my order.
I would recommend them.0 -
Selectspecs are excellent in my opinion. Used them twice, rimless glasses for £29 delivered with thin lenses as standard. Came within 2 weeks in a nice tin box and cleaning cloth.0

Hi buy my contact lenses from daysoft and had a message saying they now do glasses should be worth a look.0

I received my two pairs this morning - very happy with them, though I did order them as spare pairs for my holiday.
It's all very well saying stick to bricks and mortar, but I have had more trouble on the high street than online especially recently. I ordered a prescription dive mask from Specsavers (£45 is extremely cheap so could not resist), the sort with an armless frame inset within the mask. First time I went in to order they forgot to take my PD, I was with a friend with two young kids so put it down to harassment and went in to have it taken (very usefully she spoke out loud while taking the measurement so confirming my PD for the GD order), was told to pop back in an hour to collect as they would be made up by then. Went back and was told that there was a problem with one of the lenses and they would call me when ready. This was a Tuesday, I was called and popped back on the Thursday to pick them up. I just grabbed and ran, no adjustment required with these. I tried them on the next day and noticed a lot of distortion so had a better look, they had put the lenses in back to front!! Took them back the next day and they finally managed to sort them out.
I know they were cheap but it began to seem like a lot of hard work to save twenty odd squid! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
