There's a saying many yoof probably haven't heard about; 'Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves'
When the iphone 5 is between £500-700 is it any surprise sales are starting to tank?

I was surprised just how much they are."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....

Word of warning to boomers - give the youth some respect, for it is them whom you expect to pay your unfunded pensions, provide your care and buy your freehold tenures.
Respect is earned, not given.
And my pension and healthcare is sorted. I won't be depending on some snotty yoof to provide it.0 -

I am sure all boomers reading this are quaking in their boots.
As someone above so rightly says -- if you want respect, earn it.
Not everyone's pensions are unfunded, but the state sector's are. If you want to curb the retirements at 55 with inflation proofed pensions paid for by current taxpayers, then stop voting Labour. They are the ones who will perpetuate this as part of their client state vote-retaining strategy.
Trouble is, wouldn't seem cool in front of your mates to say you were going to vote Conservative, would it.No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

Of course you will. The value of the currency and all items traded in the market depend upon the youth.0 -

These threads about how lazy and worthless and useless young people are really upset me. I work 80+ hours a week running my own business. I worked the last 35 days straight (that's not a typo) and it's not looking good for getting a day off in February either. My entire life is ruled by work. And whenever I log onto this forum to try and get a break, this thread is at the top telling me that I need to work harder. Thanks for that.

I know how it feels.
Whenever I log on here (when I'm not surfing the Saga website), I find out how useless, redundant and greedy I am. Furthermore, I have stolen it all from the young, who will deny me healthcare and a pension as punishment. Thanks for that.

Don't take it to heart.
Arguments about boomers and young people pass a little time, keep the internet busy and give rubbish journalists something to write about.
I can't remember if I've ever heard the word 'boomer' in normal conversation let alone 'generation X'.0 -
All this has made me wonder what age group are yoofs.0
