  • This made me laugh! I caught one security chap unawares one time, he was putting a "wet floor" sign out and I asked him if it was an instruction. He was chuckling away until he was at least out of earshot! I so want to try some of these!

I was feeling a bit bored once, it was a nice day and I was on the High Street. I stood there, just looking up at the sky. A bit of a crowd formed, all looking up. I left them to it and popped in a shop, five minutes later there was even more people there just looking up. I wasn't looking at anything in particular, doubt if any of them were, but it was a good way to pass a few minutes. Dread to think what they thought I was looking at!

He he, this made me laugh :rotfl:

    Morning All
One of our expressions as a child "was it's black over will's mothers"
meaning it was looking like rain. Also " there wasn't enough blue to make a pair of trousers for a sailor " for describing how blue the sky was when it was blue plus cloudy.
My husband hadn't heard of either of these, and just thinks i am mad

Whoop, whoop - at last someone else whose family say "its black over wills mothers" - are you Manchester way? (Used to live over there but defected to Yorkshire at 18). Another one was "go to Buxton" (either short for " well I never/give over" or if in a row "get lost":rotfl:).

Really enjoyed catching up last night - and had made a list of ours but all used by the time I got to the last page. We had Corporation Pop instead of Council Pop - my grandad used to get me with this everytime..... and I hated water then ....

Whats for tea? - 3 jumps at the cupboard door...

Hugs to everyone who needs one.

on this said receipt there are plenty of items starting with 505 ?

Hi Classy_Chick, what I meant was do any sada own branded items start 505, I don't have many in my cupboard but those I do have different layout barcode, usually shorter as it does not have to have all the information because it's sold by the supermarket that manufacture it, sorry not explaining this well:o
