  • Hello Julie,

We will start charging a 5p levy for carrier bags in NI from 08/04/13, which will then increase to 10p in 2013/14.

This is due to legislation being introduced in NI, all proceeds will be paid to the NI assembly. From 08/04/13 we will remove the Green point incentive to get customers to use their own bags as we did in Wales when we introduced the charge there.

We have taken the decision that we will not proactively charge for carrier bags unless this is driven by government legislation.

Charging in Scotland is likely to be next although no firm plans have been proposed by the Scottish assembly.

    Kind regards
    Jamie - Customer Care

One of our expressions as a child "was it's black over will's mothers"
meaning it was looking like rain. Also " there wasn't enough blue to make a pair of trousers for a sailor " for describing how blue the sky was when it was blue plus cloudy.
My husband hadn't heard of either of these, and just thinks i am mad

never heard of these either. lol. Are you up north? :)

Phew well it has now become a busy day - just been called - finally bone scan appt they wanted it to be Thursday half term. This would be second hospital appt of half term so asked if it could be done following week - "no because letter says needs to be done in the next 2 weeks". "Is this because its needed for consultants appt?", "Yes" - "Well thats two days before that date". (Consultants have sent letter second class they have only just got it - so they have one week not two:mad:). Anyhow nice lady - was going to ask med staff to start early one day - I offerred to be on standby for cancellation which she says they rarely have but don't want staff to be put on in their own time. Anyhow someone just cancelled - today :j . Have to go to Otley instead of Leeds - hey ho.

So off to google where it is, get change for parking, bath - change outfit to lose clothes. Meet friend for coffee (not seen since before Xmas) at 11, eat, shop, buy daughters birthday card, pick up niece in Tadcaster at 1pm then get to hospital for 2.20 and back for school run (thank god niece here should it over run she can pick em up).

DS school transforming into an italian restaurant tonight and money raised will go to cancer research - he is chef of lasagne. So he has to be fed and watered and back at school for 5.10pm. Eek - omlette and salad it is then .....

Must mention yesterday - blown away by school trip again it was lovely. DD's group loved handling their artefact which was an Egyptian alabaster pot used to store their eyeliner - over 4,000 years old - how lucky were they:). Well done Bagshaw museum Halifax.:T
  • we also had...."you could peel an orange in your pocket and nobody would notice" meaning you are so tight and greedy. lol

We had short arms long pockets meaning tight.

Also if you ask my Gran how old she is she reply's
As old as my tongue and a bit older than my teeth.
If you ask her what time it is
    A hair past a freckle.:D

is this lasagne the one that was reduced to clear a few months ago? if so, ive eaten it:eek: I still have some in the freezer. I threw the packaging away so it would fit in the freezer! I rarely eat ready meals and only bought these because they were cheap. Much better to cook meals from scratch!

im not sure which ones you got sorry but if its any in the listi wuld take them back even with out packgen im sure they will refund -- it wont be woth the hassel to them as this is a big scandle:eek:

tbh i dnt mind eating horse but the way this has been done --its not horse its dna / crap mixed in totaly diffrent to a joint of horse

and in that artical it says some this about a band substance possibly in the meat :eek::eek::eek:

dnt mean to sound snob is but i only buy the welsh pantry curry ready meals when reduced in co-op as all my other space is for all the meat and fish i get :o

i have been known to get a ready meal and cook it that evening if i liekd it but rare as you say cooking from scratch is better and my o/h cooks amazingly:o
