No more AF for me this weekend:o but to be honest i didnt really try that hard. Decided to make a go off achieving another full monty this week, shouldnt be too hard, as working late a couple of nights. Me and DH off to gig on Tues eve, so will offer to drive to prevent temptation. Wishing you all a good week ahead

23/24 AFDs in Febrewery and 54 in total.

! Made scrumptious garlic mushrooms as a side dish for dinner, so there's no danger of vampires tonight, lol. Sliced chestnut mushrooms, a knob of butter, a piece of frozen ginger and a sprinkling of coriander/black onion/mustard seeds. Fried for 5 minutes, then added about 2 tablespoons of water and simmered for 5 minutes, then thickened the liquid with sauce flour. Delicious.

    Sounds delish

24/24 AFDs, so I've reached my target this month, woohoo.

However, I have eaten sweets, a scone, millionaire's shortbread and pineapple crumble.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Reporting in my AFD so that's 11/10 please shaggy....
Thought I may struggle a bit today but not too bad. Think husband is finding it tough not having a drinking partner and I've noticed he's drinking less and is a little introspective and grumpy... maybe thinking about his own habits. will give him a few days to think about it before I ask him... have a good week everyone.

    Hi all,

Just had a quick catch up. Seems really positive here at the moment and some fantastic scores happening.

Mackeroo, I am a tad confused, if you dont mind me asking, are you doing the SNC this week as a last one, or carrying on now? I was under the impression you needed to stop due to RL, but then I noticed you were asking for targets.

Please can you clarify? I will do the full monty but happy to keep check of that myself if its stopping.

Shaggy, i'm on 16/20. I need to do the full monty SNC this week to reach my target, otherwise I'm stuffed.

Its DD's 5th birthday on tuesday, how did my baby get so big. Her fourth didn't seem that long ago. Its kind of tainted for me though as last year we were still a 2.4 family.:(

So tomorrow is her last day of being 4, my last day of income support and i send in my application for JSA. I am daily looking for jobs to meet the government demand that single mums work 16 hr+ week, but despite me looking since January I haven't found anything. Still I have my 10 hrs a week and 3 hrs voluntary and what with my swimming to keep my back in shape, house, shopping, cooking, cleaning etc, I feel I am already juggling enough balls.

Hope people have had a nice Sunday. Not looking forward to work tomorrow, more hassle due just because we are based in two offices and I can't go into the main office to drop paperwork off for the volunteers until after 5pm (as we sub-let from another organisation that use it during the day). Means I have to stay late (again) and will hit traffic so won't get home 'til later. These things annoy me because we seem to be no further in finding another building where we can ALL be. And I am the one running around to compensate for it.

I am grateful that I am earning money and have a job, I don't want to sound like I am not. It's just so soul-destroying to be in a job that is so draining. I am the only member of staff too so it's not like I have anyone to vent at!

I have also been thinking about a woman at uni who I thought I was going to be great friends with. However, since I stopped drinking she has stopped contacting me in between the days that we go into uni. I said we should go out for lunch and that I am fine for her to drink if she wants, but she has never brought it up. I feel a bit peeved, and a bit sad. I guess it says more about her than it does me...I don't have any close female friends that I can talk to/go out for a coffee with so I thought she would be 'the one'. I guess that is why I am disappointed :(

Sorry for any confusion, but when I said I was stopping, I offered to do it up until the end of Feb, so yes, this will be my last one

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
