It's made by Belvoir and I buy in my local a$da. Most supermarkets sell it and it seems to do the trick for me! I hope you like it!

Thanks for that, I will make a point of hunting it out next time I'm going shopping :D

19 AFD for me please Shaggy.

At uni today and still feeling a bit out of it but only here until 12pm so I should survive lol.

Isnt it amazing what some mutual support can do? I cant remember when I last had an AFD (before coming on here a couple of weeks ago). It must have been around a year ago. And now - 8 days already in this month alone!!
Hope everyone is looking forward to a good day today. It's going to be another AFD for me. I'm finding that I love going to bed sober, having locked up the house, put dog to bed, got my book and a hot drink with me. Old age is creeping up - lol!!

    Morning thread, :)

41 and i know it, well done on your 27 days. That's really good, there is no point in going over that one day. Worrying about the day not completed only serves a cycle of negativity, when there is no need, and I know all about having negative thoughts. You should be pleased that you had a choice, and did well. :)

I'm reading a book by Jason Vale called "Kick The Drink...easily", and it's put things in perspective. It's all down to choice, and this book dispels the preconceptions, and "labels" for people who want to cut down, or not bother. I really recommend reading it. I feel positive, and have only read the first couple of chapters.

I started taking Kudzu root yesterday, and it has curbed my intake, and I feel really good. I have an unopened bottle of wine, which I may, or may not open this evening, but am happily drinking coffee.

    Have a good day everyone.

I joined this thread over a week ago and also started another detailing that i wanted to stop drinking. Thanks for everyones support. I have read Jason book as recommended by someone on my other thread and all i can say is AMAZING. I urge each and everyone of you to read the book. Its under 7 quid on amazon and you really have nothing to lose. It gave me an enlightening moment. It puts into words what you are feeling. He really understands the truth behind drinking alcohol and gives you the facts perfectly and reinforces what i knew already and a lot that i didn't know but is so obvious when its written down on paper. It focusses on the disease of alcohol and how you are not giving up anything because there really is nothing to be missed. I now know that i will NEVER be drinking again and its a great feeling to be free from the trap.

    Hi there
    Just reporting for today :
8/10 AFDs please Shaggy and 2 for the SNC please Mackeroo!
Have a good evening all. Am on ginger and lemongrass cordial which is strong enough in taste to banish all thoughts of wine.....

I like this made with sparkling mineral water.

11 AFDs and 2 SNC please.
  • Hi everyone, having an ok day. Went to a womens aid support group this morning. Was going to stay in but that's not the answer. I'm knackered and have a cold but since I've been out I feel better. No point in isolating, reliving the past and then drinking to forget.
