  • Well its been a very long time since I was on this forum.

Have seen some old faces and new and I wish you all well for Christmas
and 2014. My drinking is no better than 3 years ago but here is hoping 2014 will be a better year for all of us.

I wont set a target until January but would like to come back if I may.Merry Christmas all

Target for January is 31 days, did it last year, so aiming for the same again. Still fall off the wagon every now and again, but aiming for less than 50 non-AFDs next year.

Best Christmas presents this year? My brother's return to health; my colleagues return to her family after being airlifted out of South Sudan on the last UK flight - after the US flight was strafed by army fire. Her luggage didn't make it, but who cares?

Wishing you all a joyful and peaceful Christmas

Brilliant cause. Wouldn't it wonderful if everyone on this thread went for a sober January and raised lots of money.

    Happy Christmas everyone.

I've already raised £50 this afternoon in the pub this afternoon although everyone was sceptical that I could do it.

The only advice I can give is keep yourself busy and think of things you can do to fill the void. Falling asleep rather than passing out and waking up rather than coming round is amazing!

    Best wishes for 2014 xxx

Thanks Jo, I appreciate your advice. I hope I can be as strong as you and start a fresh in the new year.

Best wishes to you too xx

First AF Christmas Day in probably 25 years, aside from when I was pregnant. I woke up with the foulest hangover ever

    12/14 for me please Shaggy!!!

Popping in with a not entirely AF christmas day, but a very moderate drinking one, so I am feeling good with that.
Hope you all had a great day!

  • Happy Christmas to faces old and new :-)

I don't get on here as often any more, real life always gets in the way!

Hope everyone is well and continuing on their quest for AFD's
