Stupot - It was your post that helped get my !!!! in gear for a walk yesterday so thankyou. I echo your thoughts, walking is great for the mind, body and soul.

Fruball, I'm not sure if that is the first time you have openly admitted you have a drink problem. If it is well done. It's a really brave step. I also suffer from anxiety and depression. I think many people who drink use it to self medicate exsisting psychological conditions.

Paradoxically, it was a huge 'event' in my life that made me stop completely (A break up with a best friend) I found myself thinking that 3 bottles of wine would stop any bad 'stuff' in it's tracks and then I actually laughed out loud at my own stupidity. It was my turning point.

    Hi all

    6/20 AFDs:)
  • Morning all and I hope we are all feeling good this morning.
Had a panic yesterday, daft really but every time I checked the Forum I saw the same last message and though no one had posted for about 12 hours! Thought my little lifeline had gone! :o

Then I figured out I had not looked at the last posting page! Doh!

So had a lot of lovely postings to catch up on this morning which was wonderful!

Stupot - yes walks in autumn are wonderful, they are keeping me going at the moment.

Fruball - knowledge is a wonderful thing, some of us don't like the truth but it can set us free. All cliches I know but think what you can achieve now. I am just starting to live again after so many years of cloudiness. I had no idea what I was doing to myself. It's great to have a good friend too, because of a re location I lost my best friend for years, but now she has moved an hour and a half away and I see her a lot more, she is the one person who knows all about my past and I really need that support. Seeing her later today.

365 days and Jess the cat - I share your worry about December, but not only that, it's those long dark nights of Janurary and February that follow. That's when I will need all these helpful postings. We can and will get through it. And if we stumble a bit along the way we have more good experience.

365 days - to do a smaller quote I have just been manually deleting the bits to remove without removing the bit at the beginning and end that says quote. I am sure there is an easier technical way to do it, but i don't know it!

Anyway work calls, missed all you guys yesterday and will catch up soon.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
