Satchmo, that sounds like a terrible situation to be in. If you want more time and you are entitled to it, then you can ask to delay the interview. Regardless of when, you'll be best prepared for everything if you go in clear headed and well rested - so try and focus on things that are good for You.

We're home again, I think the gut upset has all but passed and I can add another AFD! So I think that's 7 please Shaggy

I got myself so worked up that I had a full blown panic attack and ended up in A&E at 1am after describing my symptoms to 111 who despatched an ambulance. Got home at 3am. Lovely staff, who never made me feel ridiculous or time-wasting. Doc recommended asking GP for anti depressants. Amazingly, the waiting area was empty except for a couple of homeless bods.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

satchmo - Sorry to hear that, I've been there and it's terrifying.

As for me, I'm suffering this morning but all self inflicted I'm afraid to say. :o

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

OMG satchmo - so so sorry to read that. You really have been under so much strain recently and you really have been looking after everyone else. Hoping that they just tick you off iyswim ...

no AF day for me yesterday so no change to report to my total.

I was pleased though as I found a bottle of my favourite boozy beverage that I bought back in the summer and it was all but full. Back in the good old days, it wouldn't have lasted any time at all....... :D

Help, help, help.... I'm facing a disciplinary meeting on Monday at 9am, which is entirely justified. I didn't do something that has serious consequences. All I can say in my defence is that I've been under tremendous personal stress, and that I assumed (rightly) that my line manager would pick up the action. Unfortunately, my line manager decided to act in a truly irresponsible manner and delete the task. The consequences are that I have to justify why I didn't report the task.

The manager was sacked last week. I may be sacked (God, I hope not), or maybe given a written warning.

I was told at 3:45pm on Friday that I face disciplinary at 9am on Monday. I was told I should be given 5 days notice, but they thought I'd want to get it over with as quick as possible. Part of me thinks "get it over with", part of me thinks I'm being steamrolllered.

Sorry so say, I've had a drink each night since Thursday, and even though it hasn't helped me sleep, I can't resist it.

On a great note, my niece has been told her MRI scan is clear, after her recent pancreatic infection

So sorry Satchmo :( I too have had massive panic attacks and they are awful.
You say that you "assumed, (rightly) that your line manager would pick up the action"... and that they have sacked the line manager and said that they thought you would want it over and done with as quickly as possible. Based on those two facts, I don't think you are going to get the sack. I will be thinking of you tomorrow morning. xxXxx

Drank last night = feel tired and lethargic today  Is this cycle ever going to stop?

Anyway, I will be AF today and be fresh as a daisy for work tomorrow and then, before I think of going to for more wine, ask myself if I really want to feel this tired every day.....
