Hi all
9/18 AFDs. I didn't have a drink on Sunday night - when we sat down to dinner I already had my glass topped up with sparking water. It was much easier to say no to OH when my glass was already full.Drinking is my decision but it's easier to turn it down when I have another solution.

Morning all,
Winebox – hope you are feeling better this morning and things didn’t turn out too badly for you in the end last night
Barny – you don’t say a lot but what you do say is inspiring – that is an amazing amount of AFD’s in one month – I don’t think I could ever reach that total :T
Satchmo – it must be something they put on the seats at the weekend because my wagon is like it too
Alex - I joined you last night and had a mid-week drink - I wish I hadn't as I have a headache this morning
Munchin – good strategy – I will have to try that as my OH is a bit like yours and tries to ‘persuade’ me to join him in a drink all the time
I am planning an AF for tonight but will report back tomorrow - have a good day all0 -
Hope everyone is having a good day in whatever way
I had a good day yesterday, OH and i don't work on Wed so will always go out on Tue night, which we did and enjoyed!! We will often get called by a nice pint on Wed afternoon but thanks to reading all your posts we didn't hear the call yesterday, got loads done and curled up watching tv feeling happy with ourselves by 8pm.
So that's 11 AF days, including the 9 before joining you, am pleased with that!
I think OH has a hankering for a pint tonight and i find it had to say no, but hopefully will report limited damage later as i think only a couple and we'll be content.......0 -

I am pleased to report that, although I bought wine during my usual weak time of 5-6pm (I don't drink it until 7pm+ but always get it earlier), I haven't opened it making...
9/15 days for me :j
I don't even fancy it in the slightest so I am going to have an early night and read my kindle for a while0 -
Managed another AF day.2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000 -

Hi Barney,
Me too, my house sale should go through tomorrow.
Had a stressful day today, with DH being offered a pitiful severance from his job (he's been off for 3 months with work-related depression), then issues with house-sale paperwork (resolved), then texts from BIL about whether I was going to ex's upcoming 60th birthday (and I would be invited why??), then 2 end of financial year meetings which wasted 45 minutes of each hour long meeting.
Didn't resist when DH suggested a glass of wine after his psychiatrists meeting and my run. Sorry for letting the side down. In my defence, I did stop after one.
I hope tomorrow brings fewer "elephants on chest" anxiety attacks.
That list doesn't include any worries about brother's or mother's health, which continue apace.
Thank God for my running. I only managed a short run as it was starting to go dark, but I ran hard and fast and included four uphill sprints which please my soul (strange but true).
Night night all, sweet dreams xxWhat would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -

Oh pip, I'm delighted for you.:)23 AFDs tonight and tomorrow my house is selling!Hi Barney,
Me too, my house sale should go through tomorrow.
Great news for you both.:T
Sorry to hear you're having a tough time winebox. I'm fortunate that my DH is very supportive of my cutting down, complimentary even. He doesn't join in but he doesn't try to sabotage me either.
I joined in the midweek drinking glitch too. We took DH's American cousins out for the day and I had wine with lunch so I carried on in the evening.:o
Back on the wagon today though.
11 AFDs please Shaggy.0
