We had a wonderful time, thank you for asking. :) Programme was Verdi Overture from Force of Destiny, Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 4 and Shostakovich Symphony 5. Not a fan of 20th Century music really but the Shost' was utterly fantastic, so was Sir Mark Elder and his orchestra.

V quick in & out this morning - away until tomorrow evening. Good weekend all!

How did I manage to glue my mouth shut?

    My lips are sealed......
  • Happy Weekend everyone.

Glad to report that the quick pint on Thursday was just that, so not to bad but not AF. didn't sleep well though so very tired all day. The upside being a good early night on Friday so that's 12 AF days for us now

Up early this morning ad already been into town and to the allotment where there's still loads to pick - sweetcorn for starters tonight!

Today wont be AF as there's a band on at our local and we like to "support" their efforts, actually Saturday is never AF in this house, that's a given.

Enjoy the day whatever you are all doing.

Not AF yesterday, and feeling rough today. But I still did my 5k parkrun this morning. I had volunteered as the tail-runner, so I wasn't under the usual time pressure.

A time of 41:42. Only 2 runs left before I smash my target of 30. I'll definitely carry on with the weekly parkruns. Plus I found a midweek group to help me progress to 10k (and beyond).

My runs are to raise funds for World Vision and help bring lasting change for children

  • Hello everybody! I haven't been here for ages and ages, due to being so busy in RL. Two daughters now back at uni!! My wine consumption has been creeping up, and I definitely need to get back on board with you. Please can I have a target of 28 AFDs for October?

Hiya Maman - well we'll see!

I really need to pull myself back together though, I thought I had it all under control, but the units have been creeping up over the last year or so (I am keeping an excel chart!!). :o

Lovely quiet house here nowadays, only me and DD3 at home, DH still working away during the week and coming home at weekends. :A But the summer holidays were very, very busy/hectic/stressful, with all 3 DD's back, and this certainly contributed to my increased intake of wine, I'm afraid. Onwards and upwards. :T

I hope everything is ok with all my old friends, and the people who will become my new friends. :) I am looking forward to getting up to date with what everybody is doing again, and having a reason to control the wine intake. :)

    xx
