I am AF tonight :j Off to bed soon as I am really tired tonight. Makes it much easier to be AF when it's a short evening :o I think this is the first year I have been grateful of darker evenings ;)

That makes 3/15 for me please Shaggy :)

It's bound to be difficult, you've given yourself an amazing challenge. I think you're wise to limit your drinking to Saturday rather than try and have a little through the week. I certainly find an all or nothing approach works best for me too. It will get easier, it's a case of changing your habits and the fact that your wife isn't drinking will help too. Good luck with your AFness and with your debt-busting. You might want to record your money saved alongside your AF days for motivation.

Thank you for the encouragement. :)

Another alcohol free night for me too, though I've been so busy I've hardly had time to think about it. Perhaps that is the key? Keep busy.

3 days alcohol free for the first time in years and feeling quite proud of myself.
    2018 totals:
    Savings £11,200
    Mortgage Overpayments £5,500

3/25 AFDs, but went astray last night and suffered for it this morning.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

I'm pleased to say I've managed all 4 'school nights' this week. It's always my target but I don't always hit it!

    4 AFDs please Shaggy.

Lamarsi don't let the woman you work with drive you to drink, it has taken me nearly three years to overcome the damage done through the evilness of a psychotic director (who eventually was forced out after her next victim took her through disciplinary) She was in post for 6 years and destroyed 7 PAs.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

As a part of my spending cut to a. pay my debts and b. live within my means, my wife and I have given up alcohol 6 days per week. We are allowing it on a Saturday evening as a treat. 2 days in and I'm already finding it difficult, I usually drink what amounts to basically a bottle of wine a night and a nightcap. The wife, who only has a glass is not missing it at all.

Pushing out the welcomewagon.gif for you Alex...Good Luck and pop in for a chat when you need to - we all get "it"

Would you like to join the September monthly challenge? You just set a target for the number of days you'd like to achieve and see where you end up - there is no pressure honest!
