My holding pattern of 2 on 2 off didn't quite hold, as I had a 4 on a few nights ago. However, I've also added another 2 off so that's 8 AFDs for the month so far.

15 AFDs for me so far, but we're off to Southport for a long weekend with a family party on Saturday afternoon. Whilst I'm driving to and from that, but I'm planning to relax with a glass or two in the evening. I'll be seeing the brother who has just been diagnosed with cancer, so "it'll be emotional"

3 AFDs so far sitting drinking diet coke and winding down to go to bed, glad i started this, getting some early nights now. The weekend is going to be a
tester as my grandsons birthday is at ours and we have about 15 boys coming, if i can cope with that one without wine i think i might have cracked it.

Well done anita, you've made a great start. is it your plan to cut down or are you hoping to give up completely for a while?

Have a good weekend satchmo. The driving will at least help you limit what you have. Don't be too hard on yourself.

I'm pleased with myself today. I went out for lunch and had fizzy water. Decided I would be better of in the heat without that fuzzy, sleepy feeling lunchtime drinking brings. AND I didn't come home and play catch up this evening.:D

    7 AFDs for July.

    Ooh err missus!

Like I've said before, it's much easier if you have to do it. I can't wait for my foaming pints of nut brown ale in August.

Someone on another diary was talking about Pimms not tasting of much else other than cucumber and mint.

That set me thinking, how about a jug of dandelion & burdock, with loads of ice, cucumber and mint, and passing it off as Pimms? Who'd know? That would be lovely and cooling, and if it was a sugar free d&b, it wouldn't be calorific, either! I think I've just had a brainwave, lol :-)
