2 more AFDs for me (6/16).

I seem to be in a holding pattern of 2 on, 2 off which is much better than anything I've managed in the recent past.

Another AF drink discovery. If you have a Soda Stream the new "cocktail" mix drinks are pretty good. The mojito is minty and lime, and the margarita is basically fizzy bitter lemon (which I loved and DH hated). I haven't tried the cosmopolitan yet because I haven't found it in any of my local shops (although I think I'll like it because I like cranberry based drinks). The two I've tried didn't feel as though they were missing alcohol - they are just scrummy drinks.

Had dinner out, and have to fess up to a pint of real ale and a large glass of wine. Spoilt it by having a meltdown when we got home - suspect DH is on Asperger's scale, as he doesn't recognise other people's emotional limits.

Waiting at home was a message with an update about brother's MRI scan, and DH is bleating on about pension forecasts and water rates. I freaked, and kept telling him to shut up - but would he, no! That's not my usual way of talking, either, so why couldn't he see that I was sailing over the edge?

I spent a while crying noisily, and now I'm exhausted.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Passes a virtual tissue.....I'm sure you needed a bit of release satchmo, it's been a hard week for you.:)

I'm delighted that I've done all 4 days of the SNC this week. I haven't managed that in an age. I think it's helped that coming back off holiday, I haven't felt the need for meals out. I was tempted tonight and if I'd had a bottle chilling in the fridge I'd probably have opened it. Options were G&T or Pimms which I wasn't fancying.

    5 AFDs for July.

  • Went to see the red arrows air display down the beach today. People eveywhere drinking alcohol, I was suffering with this heat even though I was consuming lots of soft diet drinks, I feel sorry that people drink because other people drink and because people drink.
I'm trying to say, the sun comes out, the drink starts to flow and there are ambulances and police everywhere. I'm really glad I joined this thread, many times I've felt weak, faint and unwell because of the humidity but if I was drinking God know what would happen, because I feel so rough without the drink. My last drink was on the 1st July and I was emotionally wrecked after just 6.9 units.
