  • Gien I am going to go for 5 SNCplease

I had a planned night out and I am feeling pretty grotty today despite drinking plenty of water with the booze. More than happy to leap back onto the wagon!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

  • Hi shaggy et al,lol. I am 14 AF days as definitely AF today.
Went for ultrasound of neck and thyroid on Thursday afternoon.
Findings: While scanning me the radiographer told the Consultant that she had found a nodule, but he told me that it was excess tissue that has been there since I was developing in the womb. I asked him what I could do now about the hoarseness, loss of voice, inability to shout or scream, cough, sore throat etc etc. He told me to go back to my GP to see ENT again. I had a tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy aged 8 and another tonsillectomy aged 28 so painful, I've had a fibre optic down my nose, speech therapy etc.
So I went to the GP by 8.15 am and was seen at 9.45 am, my GP said she could do nothing til she saw the scan, so I asked her to explain the name that the Consultant said the lump was as I couldn't remember it. She said she needed to see the scan. So while there I had a blood test for thyroid levels as been on 25mg since April and have to ring up for the results next Friday after 2pm and then see GP in 10 days for chat about scan and then she will refer me to ENT.
Sorry to ramble on, no-one to talk to here and wondered if you had any knowledge to share regarding the scan results, I've been googling and getting confused lol.

Roll up Roll up For the School Night ALcohol Free Challenge.

ANother week is just around the corner, so let's attack it with a clear head.

I tend to think of a school night as the night before school (getting up early the next day), which means that 5 are up for grabs (Sun - Thurs).
Sign up for as many or as few AF nights as you want.

    so far we have:

    Gien 4 nights
    41 5 nights
    Freebyfifty 5 nights
    Shaggy 5 nights
    Barny 5 nights.

Post the number of nights you want to sign up for (helps if they're in a different colour)
    Trying to keep in budget.
