Wagon going nice and steady, the road ahead looks smooth and groovy and not a pothole in sight so I'm managing to stay aboard. There is a bend ahead called the weekend but I'm hoping to cling on.

(enough of that analogy for now)

3/5 SNC please Gien and 9/29 AFD please Shaggy.

  • Hi everyone. Loving the posts, so much activity. Okay another lecture (yawn). The wagon always passes our house and is activated by thought. When you need help it turns up and all the AF posse will pull you on and whisk you away to the sound of 12 wild horses, away from those pesky bells.
Seriously, we are all in this together. The wagon will always be here, we will always be here, there are no good or bad or better or worse people here. We are not do-gooders, or out to start a revolution, people should have a choice whether to drink or not and if you want to stop, cut-down or just come on here for a bit of a laugh, support or curiosity. All are welcome, no-one is going to be unhelpful, and if anything upsets you please say and we can sort it out so either the person, usually me knows that we have caused offence, or that person is stopped from posting purposely offensive stuff. I really hope that we can stay alive and live life without guilt, remorse and regret.
Maman I drank because I wanted to and the day that he drank I didn't because I wasn't really in his company, staying in the caravan while he was outside with his family. I wish I hadn't drunk though because it wasn't really worth it, and looking back I can't see the point. I think I was testing myself to see if I could stop, and I did. Only thing is now I have mucked up 2 days for the sake of 4 measures of vodka. But if I allow myself to think like that I will and I know I will drink on that and continue to beat myself up and then continue to drink etc etc etc.
Anyway, rant over, feel better now lol, do you lmao.

I have managed another AF night but how, I don't know!

I had to pick up my son at 8.30 from his school, about 40 minutes drive away, This helped. However, the temptation when I returned home was amazing. I walked in and out of the kitchen several times, watched two episodes of the Big Bang Theory with my sons and then came on here, all to stop myself. It worked but I struggled and it felt pretty awful.

It would be nice if I didn't have to fight it off. Some nights it seems easy, others like hell.

So to sum up 4/4SNC and 9AF days in total.

    Kind regards
    Slowdown:)

    That's brilliant 41, well done!:T
I went out tonight and fancied a glass on the way home. I think it was partly walking through the city centre seeing people enjoying themselves in bars. When I got home, I realised I was actually thirsty rather than craving alcohol. Plus I was determined not to lose an AF night after 10 p.m. And well done slowdown for staying off it too. And everyone else of course.;)

6 AFDs and 3/3 for the SNC please.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
