Thanks - I think I'll pick up some camomile T bags. I've never seen Valerian.
Giving up caffeine - that's a whole other ballgame. I only drink tea but I'm not sure if my day would actually start without 2 cups of tea;)

Failed miserably yesterday.:( I went out to lunch unexpectedly and all too quickly succumbed to Prosecco in the sunshine.
I won't manage the full SNC but that's not making tonight a s*d it night. 3 is better than 2. I'll be back later to report today's AFness!0 -
Hi all
Reporting in with 3 for the SNC and 3 for June please
Only tonight to go and I will be happy
Was tempted last night to drink, traditional Wine Wednesday, with friends 'online' encouraging me - thankfully my will power held out.
I have got up at 6.45 the last 2 days to do the 30 day shred dvd, so drinking wine would have meant a massive fail
Hope your uncle is ok 41

After 20 years of heavy drinking, I have decided to cut down drastically and use the money that I would of spent on paying off a credit card. My Father in Law died at the age of 61 from alcoholic liver disease and he wasn't what you would call an alcoholic but a heavy drinker. So I am combining this with the 1% off debts challenge. Apart from 1 glass of pimms on Sunday, I haven't had a drink for 2 weeks which is unbelievable for me. I am also finding that my wage is actually lasting the month......
So I guess this is 5/6 alcohol free days for JuneSaving for Christmas 2017 £120/£400 :beer:0 -
Hi all, 2 AFDs for me please.
Had an awful experience last night where I started feeling angry about my mum for just being incapable of having a close, deep relationship with me. Not her fault, think it was how she was brought up, but doesn't help me when I feel there are important things to say
Our talk in January, although it felt like we'd become closer at the time, hasn't really done anything. It's all forgotten now, she thinks everything is fine and dandy just because we've had one conversation. That is pretty much the attitude she took during the trouble in my childhood.
Really felt like going out and buying a bottle of spirit and getting totally fudged. OH and I set off to walk to the shops, but the walk actually calmed me down and we didn't in the end.
Had some non-AF days coz had friends over, but nothing what I would call excessive.
Going to mum's this weekend. Not looking forward to it, so I am gradually trying to accept that the world my family live in is absolute bull, and at least I have my sane world to fall back on. Not easy though0 -
Just settled down in pjs with a hot choc and biscuit. No alcohol in the house so i'm calling this SNC complete :T:T:T:T
SNC 5/5 :A:A
5/29 afd

6/29 AFDs. Well done to everyone who has resisted the drink demons.
Went for a 10 minute walk at lunchtime with a colleague then we ate our salads outside in the sunshine. I've managed to lose one of the four pounds I put on at the end of May, because of lots of birthdays and other assorted cake-filled occasions. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0
