Shaggy - I know I am a nightmare for dropping in and out of the thread, so I'll not do a target but if I get chance to post I'll say how many days I have achieved if that's ok?

Morning everyone, up early and good night's sleep. Feeling good, sorry about my post last night if it's incorrect, please forgive me. I just think that it is a lot more than just a physical dependancy, it is a state of mind. e.g had a dream other night about drinking what I thought was pop and it turned out to be lager, my shock, pleasure at the taste and horror at the fact that I'd been tricked were all too real and it really upset me. Another example was watching George and Mildred film other day and George was drinking a very old can of beer/lager from 60s or 70s and I started to taste it and crave it just from watching TV.

Oh pants
my lovely brother popped in last night with some wine (2 bottles) as a thank you for some jobs I had done for him last month. This morning there is half a bottle left, he probably had 2 large glasses so I must have had about a bottle :mad: @ 10.1 units according to the label...not a good start and I feel yuk not headachy just my poor tummy. I need to get a grip this is ridiculous why I couldn't just stop or say I'll save it for next time you come over for dinner I just don't know. I shall tell him next time to bring me flowers instead (that'll make him worry!)
Anyway that keeps me on a big fat zero AFD for April so far0 -

Hi 41, you are so right in my opinion, there are lot's of reasons behind what makes us drink. Everytime I think I am getting my head around it something else happens and there's a glass in my handbut at least thinking and talking about it on here helps address it.
