Afternoon
Well after my disaster last night, I have spoken to DH and told him that I am cutting down drinking during the week...I haven't told him yet that I am aiming to cut it out during the week totally before the end of the month.
mrsdee - Thanks for the quote you posted, it was a great help to me.

7 AFD for me please
Went to complete our application to rent the house this afternoon and apply for a credit check. Both a bit worried as OH is on a debt plan and has CCJs where the companies have tried to get him to pay more money, he hasn't got it and the debt plan people have told them this, but they just issued a CCJ anyway. Seems so unfair
We declared it right from day one though, so we're hoping from our bank statements they will see we have regular income, plus it shows that OH is paying into his debt plan each month. Just worried we're going to fall at the first hurdle when we're really excited about the house0 -
Reporting in. Not an AFD today - planned half a bottle of white wine with dinner and then drink tea after...

Edit : I updated #985What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Morning Everyone,
I would like to report 1 AFD for me please :j, came home about 9.15 last night and DH asked me if I wanted him to go get me wine " No thanks" was my reply, I can't say it was easy and felt as is I was starting to weaken so put the kettle on and made us both a wee hot chic and a kit kat, I used to toss and tureen If I hadn't had ant alcohol as it knocked me out until morning basically but I had a sound sleep x
I will look forward to my wine tonight and savour as it will be my last until next Saturday. Fingers crossed x:TGratitude is the best Attitude :T

Well done macpep. I'm so pleased for you, enjoy your wine tonight, and look forward to next Saturday's little pleasure. We all need little pleasures in life, as long as we are in control.
22 consecutive AF days and drink is slowly fading from my life picture, it hasn't totally gone, and it never will but the vivid bright crazy colours it used to produce are now fading into different shades of grey. I will call them the 50 shades of grey lol. I'm thinking about all the problems drink has caused me especially when it comes to work, not so much the getting up in the morning and surviving the shift without fainting, throwing up or feeling like my head will explode, but more so the relationships I formed, the lifestyle I was living, the way I coped with stress, pressure, ego, disappointment, etc. I remember that I didn't really like the taste of alcohol, apart from Baileys and similar things, and I thought that would deter me because I remember being sick in a pub ashtray because I'd had far too many cans of Fosters and was determined to finish the can off, how mortifying. I want my life to be memorable, and not full of bad memories, even if I have to face my demons without drink to numb the pain I think it is worth it, as my feelings have been adjusted to suit my life by drugging myself with alcohol. Now I want to reclaim my sanity and go through the journey of getting to know who I am, who I have always been, I am worth getting to know, I am my best friend.

:T:T:Tthat's brilliant macpep! You're off to a good start!
I'm a bit concerned about you 41;) Yes, we all need our little pleasures but replacing booze with 50 Shades of Grey!
Hope all goes well with the house application lilith. Hopefully as you can show you've been paying rent reliably you'll be OK.
:Tshaggy on stopping at one glass in the pub. I'm out to lunch today and planning 'just the one'.
Have a good weekend all.:)0
