hi we stayed at britannia hotel in october and raised a complaint whilst we were there and followed it up in and wrote a letter of complaint to the manager of the hotel, we have had no satisfaction from the manager and have asked for this to be escalatered to the next level in there complaints procedure, they say that complaints stop at the manager of the hotel.
we have wrote to the ceo of britannia hotels and heard nothing back , we rang and asked for a copy of this policy but they say its only verbal .
please can anyone give advice as to what we can do next over our complaint and if there is no esacaltion policies for complaints and is it normal not to have procedures in writing, the complaint is quite lengthy but i can forward it on if anyone can help me.
many thanks sharon x

Never mind forwarding the complaint
- In 2 sentences what did you not get which you should have had or vice versa
- In 2 more sentences what would you like to be done to put this right.
The hotel is not in a regulated industry so they are not obliged to have a complaints procedure, but if you give some indication of the problem, someone should be able to indicate how to move this forward. You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0 -
I stayed in their Manchester hotel once - never again. Possibly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.0

It wasn't Sasha's in Manchester was it. That place was an absolute dump when I stayed there 3 years ago and it has not improved since going by the reviews on Trip Advisor.

Nothing can be worse than the one in Coventry. I go there for a sci fi convention every two years and we have a competition to see who has the worst room, the winner last time was someone who actually didn't have a door at all on his room.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. That made me laugh. The one I had in Manchester had a water leak in the cupboard. It is the only time I have ever asked to swap rooms. They managed to swap us from a room that had fallen down to one that was falling down.Iva started Dec 2018.0 -

A complete dump in my opinion.
You have to admire the fact that instead of having windows they paint tropical scenes on the wallThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

The Coventry one would charge you extra for running water, in the cupboard or not.
My last stay I had a room with no doors on the wardrobe, no mirror at all and no curtains.
Oh and the food....I don't quite know where to begin with that......
I'm staying there again next monthI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
