I know it's not great for your body but we're all going to die at some point, I'd rather enjoy life while I'm young, if my body gives up later then I can deal with that :D

Haha, a good way of thinking when you're young. However, once when you get to a certain age you'll change your mind:)

I've been using them for a while and I used to buy them from Amazon. Just realized that there is sale on their site and it's much cheaper if you buy more than 1 box. That option doesn't exist on Amazon.

Received mine yesterday. I've been wearing them all day today and it took me some time to get used to them mostly because I didn't know what to expect. They are more comfortable then I thought they would be. Perfect for the occasional use.

Forgive my ignorance on the matter but can they be seen, are they visible to other people?

    Has any one else tried

Glycopyrronium bromide cream? It can be had on prescription but it costs about £120 a jar and only has a shelf life of about 5 weeks
  • I have never heard of it so thought I would look it up....

    Side effects

Since glycopyrronium reduces the body's sweating ability, it can even cause fever and heat stroke in hot environments. Dry mouth, difficulty urinating, headaches, diarrhea and constipation are also observed side effects of the medication.
The medication also induces drowsiness or blurred visions, an effect exacerbated by the consumption of alcohol.

Is it a medicine to reduce sweating?

its a cream applied direct to underarms and if nothing else works it is a last resort before surgery or bromide injections.

the person I know who uses it hasnt experienced any of those side effects and it has helped (early days though)

Just to add it was initially prescribed by the hospital rather than a GP
  • I wonder if the side effects listed are if you take it as oral medication, as I cannot image rubbing cream under your arm can cause all that!

I did not know that a presciption only cream existed. Iwill be off to the docs next week now

Dont get hopes up, not sure if Gp would prescribe as it is very expensive, as said it was prescribed by the hospital from a specialist dermatology clinic.

On going to a Gp to get a repeat the GP had never heard of it

If you havent already done so it may be worth your GP reffering you to hospital

How serious is your sweating condition. Maybe GP can prescribe you something milder but as effective. The creme Photome suggesting sounds really vile. I'm sure it's effective but...
