Having just seen this, I had an idea! Would it not be cheaper to trim down some panty liners and stick them onto your clothing? I just looked it up online and it seems quite a popular alternative. Just a suggestion :)

:) That's exactly what I used to do before I learned of underarm pads. You don't even have to trim them down. Problem with a panty liners is they don't stick very well, they move as you move your arms, you get fluffy bits all around and you can't relax knowing that they might fall off any second ( which happened to me on several occasion, don't have to mention embarrassment ) Although they look very similar, there is a big difference between underarm pads and panty liners ( from my experience)

Lotielot - It's great to hear from someone thats tried it, I did think that maybe they wouldnt stick as well as the underarm pads would and I could see it being pretty embarrasing if they did fall off!

I personally think the idea of underarm pads is a great idea, as someone who struggles quite a bit with excessive sweating I can see their benefits, especially that they would keep you clothes nice and fresh all day! Maybe when I have a bit more money it's something I would consider. They are a bit too expensive for me right now.

Becky, I know what do you mean. On Amazon they used to be £6.5 ( now it's £6.07) and it's expensive. Now when I pay £14 for 4 it's still expensive but to me it look cheaper than what I used to pay. I'm hoping if they become more popular or available in shops than price will dramatically go down.

I don't particularly find this funny.

I didn't read that as being offensive at all, just someone saying they
found it a good idea. As they thanked the OP I don't think at all they were being facetious and perhaps you may have overreacted a little.

I must admit when I read "what a looovly idea" I thought they were taking the mick.
But after reading the rest of the post they seemed genuinely grateful.

Can be easy to misunderstand when posting.

  • I was out last night and i mentioned these pads to my friends, one of them who comes from Germany told me that they are widely available in stores over there. She was really surprised that I've never heard of them before. Apparently, her husband use them regularly.
