Recommend a book for a 15yo please

I think i must have been about 16-17 when i started reading covenant. My mum was reading them at the same time and warned me about the rape bit in 1st book. I would say thats about the only adult material bit but definately more of a series for older readers with all the depth behind it. Even now im struggling to get through the last couple of books, they have lost the rhythm in the last series.
