Hello,
Looking for a good read for my 14, (almost 15yo), daughter. She loved the Hunger Game series, has a good sense of humour and will read almost anything put in front of her.
Any recommendations?

sorry only half a tale - but know the Book people had a set of books that were classed as similar to hungar games, typical can't remember, - but worth a look on their website xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Gemma Malley - the declaration (three book series)
Morganville vampire series
These are the two best series apart from twilight and the hunger games (in my humble opinion
)
There are loads in the same section in waterstones as where you would find the hunger games too, it's worth a look.
Hope this helps a little.
Also there is a series called Uglies, I cant remember off hand who the author is but it's another good trilogy, (uglies pretties and specials)Rubbish at the grocery challenge!0 -
A bit obvious but the Twilight books? I wouldn't have a clue other than that sorry but l would use it as an excuse to go to the library with her or a trip to a good bookshop and lunch.

Thinking back to all those novels I enjoyed at her age - a real mixture of styles to be honest. I started reading Jean Plaidy's historical series round about then, she made it all so interesting and sexy/gory! One novel I nicked from my Mum (and read over and over) was 'The Rich are different' by Susan Howatch, it was fascinating, pacey and historically accurate. And a bit sexy, too!!!! That's why I nicked it from my Mum!0
