What's in your child's lunchbox today?

Thought it might give me some inspiration to hear what other people put in their kids packed lunches, so me first....
My dd has a cheese sandwich on 50/50 bread (no crusts :rotfl:), a basics fromage frais, an apple and a juice cup. She has a packet of baked crisps, a fruit shortcake biscuit and a carton of pure orange for her snack. (I know I could include more fruit but she's so busy talking/playing I save fruit for when she's at home so I know it has been eaten whereas I'm not bothered if she doesn't finish her crisps)

really?!?!? that's seriously unhealthy! About 1200 calories and about 40g of fat!!!
(I presume you're joking!)
My DS (aged 26 months) took a marmite sandwich, fromage frais, cucumber sticks, a kiwi fruit, and a piece of cheese.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Not joking at all, though DS has a very physical job and remains stick thin even with all the calories and fat.0 -

This thread will just turn into the usual MSE holier than thou healthy eating 'you give your child WHAT!?' fest.
By page 2 it will be nothing but argument.0 -
DS age 9 has chicken soup, green apple, croutons and a slice of brown bread. DD has tomato soup, red apple, cheese string, chocolate biscuit, slice of brown bread and a tub of croutons.
I'm trying to get them to state what kind of home made soup they want

Sounds like a nice selection for your DS Pinkshoes. Just a word of warning though from someone who has been there and worn that t-shirt! I always have (and still do) cook from scratch every evening and have always encouraged healthy options however that doesn't stop 16 yo DS choose pizza regularly for his lunch. It's very easy to be 'shocked' about what others do when your children are little - just be careful about who you criticize as you don't know what you've got ahead (a piece of excellent advice given to me when mine were all little) :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
