Yodel are terrible, its true. But Citylink are even worse - and just to top things off, they are really rude and dismissive towards customers, and don't understand how to communicate. Never again.0

Yodel are terrible, its true. But Citylink are even worse.
The thing I hate most about Citylink is that they don't give you a receipt when they collect. They tell you it's been scanned, so is in their system, but there's no proof in your hands that you handed it over to their driver. A dodgy driver could pretend to scan it and then make it disappear. I avoid them.
Had a really bad experience with MyHermes this month. Was going on hol on the day of collection, so ticked the box saying 'collect from shed' and left further notes for the driver. I looked at the tracking info, next morning (a Saturday), and could see it hadn't been collected, so had a 'chat' with them from Norway. I emphasised that it had to be collected from the shed. I repeated that on the Monday, late pm, when it still didn't show as collected.
When I got home, the parcel was still in the shed and there were three cards through the door. Useless, absolutely incompetent. What's the point in offering a 'collect from shed' option and then ignoring it? What's the point in providing a 'chat' facility (in India, I think) if it achieves nothing?
What did they offer me by way of compensation for rotten feedback from a hacked off customer, wasting a great deal of my holiday time and making me pay a lot extra for next-day with UPS on my return? They simply refunded the delivery charge. I'm sueing them in the Small Claims Court.0 -
I suspect Amazon Logistics will be coming up on the rails to win worst courier anytime soon.
I ordered on Tuesday on free delivery. Advised it would be Saturday, but its a business address, Royal Mail know this so don't deliver, will Amazon Logistics. No need to worry. This morning an email saying it would be today, excellent.
Tracked parcel to be advised there was a problem. Now I have no idea when it will arrive.
A quick Google suggests this is the level of service to be expected from Amazon Logistics.0 -
Another e-mail. They tried to deliver today, so they don't know its a business address. Lets see if they deliver on Monday as promised.0

I booked a letter collection service last week Friday (21st November) for collection on Monday 24th November, via TNT but it was never collected and there is no sign of my parcel on the tracking number, and no number to contact parcel2go . I have contacted them a few days ago via the website but had no response yet. However they were quick and efficient in taking payment from me! I called TNT and because the codes given by your company are different to theirs, they could not trace it.
I am livid that I didn’t read the review for this company before. My document must reach my family lawyer in Brazil early next week and thanks to parcel2go, it is a week late. I want a full-refund immediately as I am now going to have to book a more expensive collection service thanks to your company’s lack of integrity. How is it possible that they have no customer service support line, live chat, nothing?0 -
Logged on to see when my Tower of London poppies were due to be delivered, my heart sank when the tracking numbers (they haven't actually sent them yet) took me to Yodel.
800,000 plus of them and they decided on Yodel.0 -

you are not wrong.
Copy of email I sent to Historic palaces re Yodel:
RE ORDER XXXXXX AND THE EPIC FAIL OF SIGNING A CONTRACT WITH YODEL
Hi
I called you today re my order XXXXXX. I am not writing expecting you to sort anything out BUT I do expect it to be brought up at meetings about the complete and utter folly of signing a contract with Yodel to deliver the poppies. The average person on the street if asked would howl with laughter if anyone suggested getting anything delivered by them let alone such an iconic meaningful item.
I have just had one of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had due not to you but to a Yodel courier who a. has lied and lied for the last 5 days and b. when caught lying by myself and indeed Yodel stood on my street and hurled the most foul mouthed abuse at me that I have ever heard (and being a retired secondary school teacher I've heard it all-or thought I had)
So-your management team have hired a company with no concept of decorum, no idea of service. You have signed a contract with a company to deliver a poppy that is meant to symbolise sacrifice, a commemoration of those who fought, suffered and died for me and you to live in freedom. It was a noble installation, a most fitting tribute to the fallen. It is and will be one of the most thought provoking and moving things I will ever see.
AND THEN
you handed over the delivery of the items to a company who is renowned for employing unchecked, untrustworthy people who whilst holding this item in one hand have no idea what it stands for because all they have in their brains is "me, me,me,me,me,me" and then spew forth the most foul language...not a fitting end to the journey of the poppy is it. Not a fitting end to this most wondrous of memorials.
Im not the only one, its everywhere if you Google it. Yodel are taking a blasting across the internet.
This needs to be addressed quickly before anymore are sent out to end up a. smashed by Yodel couriers lobbing them over walls and/or b. being stolen by the couriers themselves to sell on-and it is happening.
Yodel are hopefully dealing with this "person" but you as a management team need to get out of this contract and hire a courier firm more trustworthy more fitting for this memorial of those who died. Don't let such a wonderful thing end in mayhem...because that is what it is at the moment.
