21 days until I'm loan free! Count downs are the best!
Not spent anything recently, HF have changed their online banking and now it's really clear when my CC statement is due etc so that will be good for future budgets. Everything has just reset and I'm a little over my £300 budget. Doesn't help that I had £59 go out for my GNR entry but that doesn't count for it all. Must make a real effort over the next few months to keep my spending to an absolute minimum. With that in mind I plan to spend nothing until March (I know that's 2 days away but let's take baby steps!)
I'll have a look over my meal plan and make a new list. I've been shopping twice in February and I've enjoyed most of the meals I've made so that's all good!
Head down and let's get to payday (yet another thing to count down to!)Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Only 16 days to go until I'm loan free!! Whoop :j
That's hardly any time at all
It's been a spendy weekend - had my hair done and bought my sister a birthday present plus picked up a couple of bits from town. Done my meal plan for the next fortnight so will go to the supermarket tomorrow night. After that I shouldn't be spending too many pennies for the rest of the month! Can't believe its March already?!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Just got £19.95 cashback paid into my account (been waiting for it for aaaaages!), added that to my £5 reward from Halifax and made it up to £30 with a couple of extra pennies floating in my accounts and sent another overpayment to the BC!! Always nice to have an excuse to edit the signature!!
Just TWO weeks to go until I'm loan freeeeee as well!!!! :j :T

There's also only a week until payday!!
I have an overwhelming sense of wanting to buy things but managing to keep the urge at bay for now! I can treat myself to a couple of select items once I reach my DFD!! Got to keep my head down and plod on although now I see light at the end of the tunnel I want to sprint and hurry to the end!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Had a bit of a spendy day yesterday, did my supermarket shop, bought a couple of house bits in town and then had a family meal to attend last night. Means I'll have to tighten up the purse strings until the end of the month now!! Don't think we have anything coming up so should be ok.
On a positive note just 10 days until I'm loan free!!!
A bit of news I've been keeping quiet as well - we're looking at applying for a DIP as we've seen a new build we really want. Terrified the bank won't even contemplate lending us the money though
I'm not sure how they will feel about my credit history as it clearly shows I've been paying off my debts for the last year or so. At least I've been paying them off though right?? That must count for something. I'm just trying to think whatever will be will about the whole thing! Everything seems to be moving in slow motion though and I'm far too impatient for that kind of thing but at least more time means more chance to get more money in the bank!! We shall have to wait and see what happens!! Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Just popped by to say I feel like I've had a productive day today! Been through my wardrobe once again (there's a wonder there's anything left after all the clear outs but I think it breeds!) I dropped off a bag full of clothes at an exchange shop where they sell your stuff for you. I find selling clothes on eBay has never really worked out particularly profitable but if everything goes as priced I'll be in for just under £90 (after the shop's commission). I don't think I'd get half that selling it myself so I'll just have to see what happens. All the stuff has been sat in my wardrobe doing nothing for far too long and clothes deserve a chance to loved again! That'll be a nice overpayment to my ever dwindling BC balance :jNest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Hi,
I've had the same thoughts about eBay (I'm another with LOADS of clothes to get rid of!) just wondered where you are/any advice/how you actually found the reselling shop? I'm thinking of car boot-ing but this might be an alternative option, if I can find one locally.
Thanks

Hi BB!
Tbh the shop just happened to be one I walk past on a regular basis and I decided to take a peek inside yesterday! Maybe try googling "clothes exchange shop" in your local area. There's a few come up on a quick general search. I've never done a car boot sale but I've heard good things from friends who have. Guess it's just luck on the day though.
I think I'm finally getting to the bottom of my mountains of clothes after several clear outs, charity shop dumps, eBaying and this exchange shop. I'll have to start buying new clothes soon - will have to wait until I'm debt free though!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Hey

Thanks for that, I did have a good google yesterday but it seems like there aren't any locally, which surprises me, given that I live in a huge city!
Looks like it's back to the boot sale idea, at least it's starting to be the weather for it!
Well done on your debt busting so far, you've made amazing progress and keep up the excellent efforts!
