Hair done and gym done (not going to count the bottle of water I drank there towards my 1 litre a day target though). Felt good to be doing some sort of exercise again, just need to keep at it now! Plan to take the tree down and pack all things Christmassy away until it flys back around for 2014! I wonder where we'll be come December this year?? Got to get my head down and get my goals ticked off!! Planned a weeks worth of meals and just need to pick up a few things which I shall do this afternoon. 10 days to go until payday!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Popped into town today and bought a couple of bits and pieces that were on my list - got part of BF's birthday present too. Downloaded a new app where you set yourself a monthly budget and plug in your expenses, it averages everything out daily & weekly. Basically a spending diary on my phone but it's pretty simple and I like that kinda thing! Seeing the budget decrease with each spend is quite an effective spending deterrent too.
I'd made a point of working my way through lots of toiletries throughout 2013 and now looking at my cupboard it's been totally stashed full again over Christmas! I need to start moisturising on a regular basis and I have tubs and tubs of the stuff so no excuse not to, guna add this to my aims for the year. I'm also going to keep up with a good skincare routine as my skin is fairly temperamental, I've been using all sorts of different washes and scrubs to work through my stores but I think I'm getting there with finding products I really like. There's a mix of drugstore and more expensive brands and I'll concentrate on getting each one as cheaply as I possibly can! Bit stiff from the gym today but hopefully I'll feel ok enough for a cardio session tomorrow - plan to never miss a Monday!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

So yesterday could have been better, BF's dad got taken ill suddenly but thankfully everything looks like it will be ok. Meant a bit of a drive and extra pennies going on petrol and parking but defo no biggie in the slightest. Just reiterates that life really is too short to worry about little insignificant bits and pieces. The sooner these debts are gone the better and then I can enjoy a few treats with BF (within my means obviously but deserved none the less!) His sister put it very nicely when she said " if you want it; buy it and if you want to go; go" Too true as there's no point putting things off if you can help it. Being a DFW does make it a little awkward but I only have a couple of months to go! Plus a girl can dream!
So still on the payday countdown, just over a week to go! Can't wait to see those pesky little numbers dip under £3k! I will be sneaking up toward the 3/4s paid mark and smashing through it come February payday! Got a couple of plans in the making for our two weeks off. Mostly just guna chill out but going to go and stay in Manchester for a night and have a nice meal somewhere. All budgeted out at £100 each for everything which some may think is too much but we've been pretty good all through 2013 and not had any extravagant holidays or anything. I know we'll both enjoy ourselves and it can double as a birthday outing for BF.
On my aims for 2014 I have been drinking at least 2 pints of water a day and need to get my three gym sessions in for this week although I'm still feeling stiff from my session on Saturday

Just swung by on my lunch to update my signature - my friend owed me £50 which I had totally forgotten about, chucked it straight across to my BC so the totals have dropped ever so slightly. Not quite under the £3k mark just yet but will be come pay day when all my fixed DDs go out!!! Looking at my snowball app it looks like I have managed to shave another month off my official DFD. Hoping to have it all done and dusted before then but even if I stick to minimum payments July isn't that far away!! :j :TNest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Payday countdown is still on, only 5 days to go now! Not got much planned this weekend - going to look at a new build estate tomorrow and have a bit of a nosy. It's only just started and not really sure how I feel about potentially moving into a brand new place. Technically we're not in a house buying situation at the moment but they don't need to know that!
May have some changes coming workwise, may mean moving back to an old department in February but if it all comes off there will be a 4.5k payrise in it for me. That certainly has its persuasive tendencies! We shall see what happens in the next week. I'm off for the last two weeks in jan - can't wait as I'm feeling pretty knackered at the minute!!
So here's to payday and holidays coming round quick!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

I've not been doing too well with my three times a week gym resolution. Went today but hadn't been since last Saturday
I'd like to get my chubby little self there tomorrow! Drank my 1L of water although I said I wasn't counting water consumed at the gym the other day. Will have to get a couple of glasses down my neck before I go to bed. I shall be waking up early needing the loo no doubt!
Our visit to the new housing estate was interesting, with the help to buy scheme we could potentially be looking at affording to move sometime this year. BF has been saving so I need to catch up pretty sharpish - these debts have got to disappear first, only a couple more months to go. Just need to be patient and keep my money saving head on. My December spending seems to be hovering over me still and I'm finding myself wanting to purchase things I shouldn't. Best get my act together and go to the gym more often as a distraction! Pay day only 4 days to go!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Only 5 days to go!!!! Really on the wind down now, found it pretty hard getting out of bed this morning
Can't wait for a couple of weeks to chill out completely. All being well when I come back to work my shifts will be changing slightly and I'll be back in my old department - I have lots of things to tidy up there so I'll be plenty busy.
Payday on Wednesday - just waiting for confirmation that all my OT hours have gone through ok. Can't wait to be fleeced for almost half of the extra hours I put in  Still, it's all extra pennies and I really shouldn't complain, once upon a time, I got nothing for any extra hours I did!
I think my debt repayments will be just the fixed DDs as I went over my spending limit once again during December so my OT will cover that. NAUGHTY DFB30!! Need to get hold of my spending over the next couple of months, I'm still finding myself considering purchases I wouldn't have thought twice about a few months ago! It's so easy to lose focus but I really shouldn't as I'm getting closer to my DFD and I don't want to eff it all up on the home straight
Need to kick off my water allowance for today - I dare say it's getting easier but I tend to forget when I'm at home. Means I'll have to make extra special effort while I'm off!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Just a quick one, my NW DD has gone out - sometimes sneaks out just before pay day but no biggie, at least it means I have an excuse to update my signature! It's just a minimum payment while I concentrate on the BC but it still dips me under the £3k total debt remaining mark :j Things should look pretty good over the next couple of pay days at least - I really hope to be finishing paying the BC as I finish my loan in March. Means finding a little in overpayments but fingers crossed it can and will happen! It'll be so good to be free of them both as I currently pay £420.07 between then, that's half way to my mulberry bag and a very healthy amount that could be collecting together in a house deposit account! I won't be getting complacent come March though as I intend to carry on my strict deft free ways (must get my recent need to spend under control!) and get rid of the NW CC that will remain as quickly as possible. I'm thinking two paydays if my payrise comes off at work so all being well that means a DFD of May!
In the mean time I'm looking forward to my cheap and chilled two weeks off!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Quick update - calculated all my spends for the month after a healthier than usual pay packet due to festive OT and located a spare £35. It has been chucked over to the BC and I've updated my sig accordingly. Things should look quite good once all my fixed DDs go out. There will be just two payments left on my loan soon too!!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Feeling very glum today and I shouldn't be. First day of my fortnight off so plenty of time to rest my weary bones and get my head straight. Not sure what's going on with work now, whether I'm changing departments, getting a payrise or what. I'm not one to rock the boat and find it really hard to "grow a pair" and speak up. I should do though, it's my life after all!
There's some more new build houses and apartments being built in a really nice part of town, guna look into it a little more and see if it's viable. A lot quicker than we anticipated but the help to buy equity loan brings really rather nice places into our reach. Just need to do a proper budget and make sure we're not taking on something we can't afford.
BF is at work, his last day is tomorrow and I think I'm taking my glum mood out on him. I don't really know how he puts up with my shortness sometimes, I'm such a grumpy cow! I think the reality of having spent the last year holed up trying not to spend money is dawning on me plus the fact I've spent far too much in the run up to Christmas and it's carried on into the new year. It's all just swishing around in my head and making me even moodier! Need to go pick up my book and bury my head in it so I don't have time to mull and create problems where there really doesn't need to be any! Such a girl sometimes!
Loan payment will be going out on Monday I think - then there's just two left and I need to fathom how I will be clearing the rest of the BC at the same time. If I'm potentially going to be applying for a mortgage I'll need everything as clear as possible. I hope I don't bring about a failed application
