Thank you W&M!!
I really hope your wall is not too high for you to get over?? Everyone has those days I guess but it doesn't make it any less frustrating! Just think of the day you clear the last penny of debt and you can start saving for all the things you just want, none of this need vs want nonsense!! It will be an amazing feeling!!! :j We can do it!!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Well it's Friday!!!

It's BF's weekend off so we're going to have lunch with my grandparents and see my friend and her little kids. She's due to drop another one at the beginning of May so I have ordered a couple of things from Next for all 3 of them (can't get baby a present and leave the other two out!) I can take them through and make sure everyone is happy with them and then pay next month (which is cheating I know but I'm allowing it!) I haven't gone overboard either which is a good thing. Blatantly making excuses but hey!
Might pop out for a couple of drinks on Saturday night but the BF is being a little money saving maniac too so it'll be a cheap one!!
Happy Friday everyone!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Aaaaah just got a water statement for the 5 months we've been in this little 2 bed flat, you'll never guess how much we owed!! £569!!! For FIVE months!! Just rung United Utilities and spoke to a lovely lady who said that usage was normal for 8-9 people!! She lowered the recalculated DDs a bit and advised us to do a leak test and then report back to them, she thinks it'll either be a leak or we've got someone else's supply on our meter as well as our own. I really hope we're not using that much!!!!! Never had such a bill!!

Ok so the leak test suggests we have one!! We read the meter before we went out yesterday and it had moved by about a 3rd of a cubic metre when nothing was on in the flat. Got to call UU tomorrow and book in an engineer. Fingers crossed we get it all sorted!!
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday and stayed in last night resulting in an NSD :j We'll see how close I can get to my ambitious target for this month! Nabbed some last minute overtime for today which will be added to overpayments come next payday. Such a novel thing to be paid for doing extra, it's never ever happened before!! Hoping for lots of NSDs this week, as long as I take a packed lunch to work I should be all set!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Packed lunch is ready, split last nights left overs into two so tomorrow is sorted as well. Might just mean I'm a little hungrier by the end of the day!! Got 7 watchers already on an item I listed on eb@y last night, going to ring UU this morning to book in an engineer to try and sort our humongous water bill out and I also think its gas and electric bill time so will have a gander at those meters to see how far off their estimates are! Plus got a well busy day planned at work. Busy busy busy!! Happy Monday everyone!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

Nearly ready for home just thought I'd pop along and update from this morning - on 16 NSDs so far with today looking like it'll count as my 17th. As long as it's over the 20 mark I'll be happy! Managed to get an appointment booked with United Utilities tomorrow morning, lets hope they turn up and figure out what's wrong. My item on eb@y is already on £3.20 and has 15 watchers, woooooo!! :j :j :jNest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

So I'm sat at home waiting for UU to turn up. I really hope they do and find out what's making our water bill go through the roof! Clocked 17 NSDs and today and tomorrow should be two more. I think I might make 24 this month, there's hardly any food in the freezer so I will have to go shopping this weekend! 24 NSDs isn't too bad for a 30 day month?!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

So the engineer from UU was very helpful, we've pinpointed the source of the extra water usage - the hot water tank had been constantly overflowing. Apparently it's very easy to fix and our LL is coming to sort it this week. Fingers crossed the UU will help us out with bull and give us some sort of discount for the overly high usage
At least we've made steps to rectify it as soon as the issue was highlighted with the massive bill!
20 watchers on the eb@y item now with £5.75 bid, I thought it'd sell ok but was expecting a flurry when it ends on Sunday not two days in the auction! Not sold anything for a while after I got rid of loads of stuff last year, it's nice to think of the pennies back in my pocket for something I barely used anyway!
Just had another play around with my budget during my lunch break and I can squeeze out another £10 to add on to my Barclaycard DD. According to my debt busting app that's another month off the DFD!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000

I've just been for a run!!!!!!! :j :j :j
First ones always the hardest so need to go again tomorrow. Just a short quick one and start building things up. I will lose some of this excess chub!!!
Just noticed that the September DFD is only for one of my debts, October still stands as the month I get rid of everything. I must work harder and bring the date further forward!!Nest Egg Savings Target: £7300/£10,000
