  • Just a swift one to say YEY PAYDAY!! :j

Had £20 extra which wasn't allocated to pay for anything so that has found it's way over to the BC, my monthly fixed DD is now set at £180 too so that will be a little extra toward the big debt... Now I need to figure out what else I can spare and where!

Had a spend day over the weekend, bought car tax, toothpaste and a couple of bits for the fridge. 15 days to go with only spending on one more day??

  • as much as I enjoyed pay day coming round yesterday I'm in a terrible mood today. So much on my to-do list and I just don't know where to start  May have to go work from home and hide from people so my list can get shorter rather than longer! Hate feeling crappy about work but somethings just not right at the moment :( I should be happy I've got a job I get paid for rather than whining about having too much to do!! On the plus side I've updated my NSD total, almost half way there!!

    Hello debtfree,
Hope you're having a better day today?
First month of my new debt busting regime and I've managed to 'overpay' on my credit card by £165, thanks to your great example!

I'm so impatient though for this debt to just be gone!

    Happy Wednesday all x

Feeling much better today thanks guys :D Just a baaaad day!! I keep scouting for new jobs just no clue what I'd want to do! Scary thought starting over when I've been with the same company and worked my way up since being a part timer while at uni when I was a wee 20 year old! Anyway I digress... Loan DD has gone out, less than a year to pay on that now which is exciting!! Had a spend day yesterday as I went to meet the girls for tea, really don't think I'm going to meet my target :o If I match last month I'll be happy enough. Keep having pangs of wanting to just buy stuff. Was so close to some new shoes this morning. Just about managed to tear myself away. Need to stay focused!! Be back later for a proper post :)

Hahahahaha snap!! Talked my out of buying shoes that I had in my hand! They were only £14.99 but I don't need shoes so was very good and put them back.

  • Glad you are feeling better - I really feel that I have hit a wall today - gah! and a big well done on the shoes - i often have the old "do i need it, or do i want it" conversation with myself :-/ x

Well done on the overpayment HJ and I salute you for managing to put the shoes back no matter how much of a bargain they were!! :T It would be so easy to just spend spend spend and have nice things but being debt free is just more appealing at the moment. We shouldn't beat ourselves up about the little hiccups though!! With the overpayments have you seen the 1% thread? It's a really good idea although I've adapted it a little to suit me - I want to pay £3000 off the Barclaycard this year so I have a little 100 square grid where each square represents £30, I get to colour one in every time I knock £30 off the debt. It's so nice to see the squares diminishing!! :A

And I am sooooo impatient it's untrue!! Not sure there's anything to make that go away though.... :rotfl:
