Tinsel you've done well considering you're poorly, sounds similar to how I felt and it really knocked me for 6, going back to bed is unlike me aswell I usually get on with it, but this time I just couldn't get on with it. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Oh and I am still here as DP moaned when I made a noise in the kitchen as him and his brother are on PS3. This is the same game they spent 8!!! hours on yesterday then he moaned when I spent 20 minutes on the PC. They are up to 3 hours again so far, if he even considers moaning I'll rip his ****ing head off!!!

*rant over* I feel much better getting that off my chest, MSE may have even saved a life tonight as I was about to burst!!
One day I might be more organised...........

Evening all. I stuck to my guns and finished the kitchen - all of it without getting distracted - even baked another cake.

Pleased with tomorrow's zone as like all of you I have a busy day so know I will be able to acheive that task - especially as I changed the bed today.

Do all rooms come round each week? Apart from master bedroom how do the others fit into the plan and what about things like family rooms/home offices etc?

Sorry I know I am a control freak but want to stick to the plan but not get to the end of the week and realise not all rooms appeared?

It is the only room that i dont like visitors to see.:o I'll do as much as i can in there though. better keep up with the standard of today.

  • Not a bad day for me today. Took some photos of another work colleague's little boy after work, went to the forestry commision place between Winchester and Basingstoke which is just covered in bluebells at the moment, was absolutely gorgeous. Am thinking about going back there with the camera one lunchtime next week as it's only about 10 minutes down the road from work.

Off to bed for me as I'm shattered and could do with an early night.

Dustykitten no problem, will try to explain. It is a lot different to the way it was posted before.

Each room comes around weekly, by the end of the week the first thread will look something like http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=433991&highlight=flylady+april last weeks. Hope all your rooms are in there, if not let me know. I usually do downstairs first working way upstairs but there was a request for master bedroom earlier this week. Of course try to be flexible where possible. Each week a new thread will start (usually on a Sunday night) last one is left, this was due to the size the FL threads were getting.

As the previous threads were you are more than welcome to work from your own lists etc, just a lot have found this way helpful & a good nudge.

Hope that covers it, any more bits I have missed feel free to ask.

Well done, first day back you've done well :) impressed

Newmrslockwood, never fear this week mines the same, door shut when I can when leaving, refused to let someone use my loo yesterday and said was broken :o just because I couldn't shut the bedroom door. I have been decluttering but always end up making more mess at first :o

Wilf thanks, he is statemented and has an LSA who is a higher level teaching assitant working with him, very experienced techer inc previously in a special school, she's the one he got in the eye :( He's been great at home lately, well better anyway, but at school he's just blowing up all the time. Then if he's had a bad day at school he's then hell at home, tonight he's been screaming, bouncing, flapping and other general stimming, refused to wear clothes or join us for dinner, lashing out etc. I'll be lucky to get him to sleep before 1am tonight hes so wound up. Much harder when I had DS2 and 7 of his little friends to feed and keep an eye on tonight! That will not be happening again, not with the cooking etc aswell, was just too much. There is nowhere in the school for him to go as an alternative area to calm as it's a tiny school and every bit of space is used. Reviews on the 10th so see how that goes. My reason for not wanting him in an SEN school is because there are no ASD specific ones up here, if he's in a class with kids who aren't as bright and doesn't get the academic side he needs, but then there is the happiness side. I think I would rather he was happy at school and helped him with the academic side from home.
One day I might be more organised...........

Back for one last visit this evening. I have been into my disaster area and spent about 20 minutes sorting out some old papers from work, almost all of which are now in the recycling. Two black sacks were taken to the tip from there on Saturday, but it still looks messy. This is a long term project I think!! Have just got the bread out of the machine and it's cooling for a few mins before I turn it out of the tin, so I thought I'd do tomorrow's list while I wait.

    Tuesday, Master Bedroom & Landing
    Level 1
Vacuum floor in bedroom and on landing
    Level 2
Remove bed linen and wash, replace with fresh
Vacuum mattress before replacing with fresh linen

    Swish and swipe bathroom/toilet/shower
Wash baby's sheets and make up cot with fresh
    School run (x2)
    Playschool run (x2)
Need to shop for a birthday pressie in the morning
Clear remain bits and bobs from landing
Make Choc chip loaf for after school treat

It seems that our children have been causing us worry today (as everyday!) so big hugs to all those parents who have been driven to distraction in one way or another! Here's to another sunny day tomorrow. Am off to turn out the bread, then to have a soak in the bath before making lunchboxes with that yummy homemade bread. (Think I may be in love with my new breadmaker!)

I managed to do most of this before leaving for work at lunchtime. I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do tomorrow as I have to go in early to work to learn how to set up the farmers tuberculosis test visits - don't ask I didn't, just nodded and said that's fine to the boss! I must try to sort out dinner before I leave the house though - I hate coming back at 7.30/8pm-ish and then starting to make dinner.
I think it's time to get some Zzzzzzz - night-night xx

    Monday 30/4:
Manic Monday - Kitchen and Dining Room
    Level One
[strike]Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces [/strike]
    Level Two
Clean floors dining room swept, need to get hoover from upstairs to do kitchen might as well wait till i have made pastry as i will only spill flour on again
[strike]wipe cat feeding mat on floor and outside of bin[/strike]
[strike]Clean microwave - [/strike]not needed as still clean from last time
Dust any extra furniture in dining room, checking for cobwebs on way round - dusted TV cabinet etc, and lamp table. Didn't manage rest of stuff in LR/dining room, but can roll over now to tomorrow
    [strike]Wipe dining table[/strike]
[strike]Sort fridge bringing what needs using soon to the front[/strike] dead easy as there is hardly anything in there until i do a food shop
    Level Three
[strike]Wipe window sill, clean any marks off window if required[/strike]
[strike]Clean cupboard door fronts [/strike][strike]and the front of appliances[/strike]
[strike] Wash the washer drawer out if it's gunky, Clean oven if you didn’t do it last week [/strike] both not needed
    Declutter mission task
Sort one cupboard of your choice, yes any cupboard, if you're brave do the one you've been putting off all year so far, or just a simple one will do think i am going to make this the freezer, and loosely class this as a cupboard, as it is a place to store food after all. Can't remember when i last defrosted it, but i didn't have a baby, so it is badly in need of sorting, then i may order a grocery delivery for Wedneday as i have to wait in for a parcel anyway, and fill it back up.
    [strike]Deal with post[/strike]
    [strike]Make baby bottles[/strike]
    Make baby fruit purees

    Extras:
    • WM - 3 loads out on line, load in ready to go tomorrow am. Dh's washing basket empty until tonight.
    • rescued my underwear from TD, now folded, and to take up and put away
    • I've also had a quick walk to the postbox to post back the DVD rental.
    • found a letter that i had misplaced
    • had fun feeding the baby raisins, letting him try to pick them up
    • sorted through the toy box - took a couple of cuddly toys out to put on display upstairs, toys he can't play with at minute at bottom so we can get to the stuff he can play with.
    • cleaned sink/draining board/plastic racks
    • made a jelly
    • got meat and pastry out of freezer for dinner
    • washed up dishes
    • took all rings off the hob/cleaned
    • washed up grill pan that DH didn't bother doing last night
    • watched baby sign language DVD with baby
    • cut babies fingernails
I've cheated a bit as i have made a good start for tomorrow. Although i may give up on the official list now.

    still to do today:
    • [strike]bath baby[/strike]
    • [strike]feed baby his supper[/strike]
    • [strike]get baby in bed[/strike]
    • must make baby purees tonight
    • [strike]get all washing back in/folded/put away[/strike]
    • [strike]put washing line away[/strike]
    • [STRIKE]wash my hair[/STRIKE]
    • [strike]make a mince and onion pie for tea - cheating because it is frozen pastry[/strike]
    • defrost freezer, then repack will have to do tomorrow
    • [strike]do an ASDA online order to take advantage of £10 off code[/strike] spent £150 - although this is a big restock of the freezer and pantry. I'm not that keen on online shopping though as it takes forever, and you don't always get what you want delivered.
    • wash up after dinner delegated to DH
    • swish and swipe kitchen once finished delegated to DH
    • watch Prison Break missed 1st half cos i was in the bath, but saw some
also planned out what i want to make in the next batch of baby purees.

Quite a satisfying start to the week. Will try to be good at doing the bedroom tomorrow, but i won't be changing the bedding until Friday

    Night night,
    Michelle, x
