Would it not be far more MSE to stop the red wine, fags and Starbucks that stain everyone's teeth in the first place?
My dh's teeth are stunning since he stopped smoking and took up chewing gum instead. It is a very noticeable difference.Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19

I don't drink red wine, smoke or drink coffee but my teeth are not exactly white.
I didn't think chewing gum was good for you - as the chewing action triggers acid pouring into your stomach in anticipation of the food it is expecting to digest which of course never arrives.0 -

Sounds delightful lol. I chew gum almost every minute of the day (when I'm awake of course lol) and have done for over 15 years, no problems here0 -

Was watching random things on youtube the other day, and came across an american girl, just chatting on her blog, and she has the most brilliant white teeth.
I emailed her, and asked what she uses, and she said Crest Strips, think i'm gonna get some from ebay now my other one has run out

Sounds a bit like "I've smoked 40 a day for 15 years and it's never done me any harm". However, gum is not recognised as a killer admittedly. If the gum contains sugar it can't be doing that much good for your teeth. Logically speaking I can't see unwanted production of acid being to great for your stomach...also the artificial sweetners in sugar free gum can cause cancer...

I always thought the point of this site was to do what you want, but do it cheaper ,not give up the things you enjoy. However I do smoke but continually try to give up as it costs a fortune, I do drink red wine, which I do enjoy And thanks to the posters on this site, can do it cheaper by taking advantage of bargains that o/p have posted. I will now try to whiten my teeth using same advice, so cheers people:T:jDabbler in all things moneysaving.Master of none:o
