I love this idea.. my birthday is August 11st and i'd love to feel like my life is more in order by then!

    i have three main targets:

    1) move out of OH's parents house.
I'm basically ready to do this, just need to keep pushing OH to get his credit card paid off and then he will be.

    2) Pay at least my credit card and computer off, so currently 1.3k.
Would love to do more, but i think this is realistic, especially if it's going to coincide with number 1.

    3) Lose about 8lbs.
I'm not overweight, but im much less toned than i used to be, and my clothes are starting to feel different. Being sat at a desk all day is bad for this, and i think i may need to find the money to join the gym. Also in with this is to drink more water and eat more fruit!

    Brilliant thread! :D
  • Great thread, these are my targets for the next three months!

    1. Lose 1 stone - I'm going on holiday on 8th July so would actually like to lose most of it by then. I'm going to do this by cutting down on the chocolate and junk and by cooking proper healthy meals.
    2. Exercise - I'm not doing any at the moment, so anything will be an achievment, but will try and do 1/2 hour of exercise at least twice a week, need to try and find something I will enjoy, so I'm going to look into dance classes.
    3. Organise flat - my boyfriend has just moved in this weekend so the place is full of boxes and stuff, we have already sorted a lot of the stuff into items to ebay and carboot, but we just need to do it now and find places for the things that are staying
    4. Decorate bedroom and build wardrobe - we have taken down the old fitted wardrobe and so need to build a new one and decorate the room, I'd also like a new carpet so need to save for that and get that done.

I think that is enough for now, good luck everyone, it will be really good to keep track of how I'm doing on here and everyone else as well!!

I wrote on this thread just before lunch so when i went out to buy my lunch it actually stayed in my head and i have already had two positive steps towards achieving my aims! :j

For the first time since January i bought water instead of diet coke.. so thats step one towards being healthier! (and it must be doing something good, ive been to the toilet about 6 times this afternoon! It's definitely flushing something out! )

And instead of spending more than a tenner on body scrub and moisturiser i bought the ones that were BOGOF, even though its a brand i don't like and im normally very snobby about that! so i saved myself a fiver there and that's gonna go towards my debt.

So i feel very virtuous now! :A

my challenges to myself are :

    1) Lose some weight, don't care if it is 1lb or 1st (1st would be good:D but I'm a realist:o) anything will do. I will weigh myself tomorrow morning so that I have got a benchmark to kick off from.

    2) Following on from losing weight, I pledge to eat a salad meal at least once every 2 days. It should be a it easier now summer is here, but does anyone else find salad a bit of a chore?

    3) Have at least 1 chocolate free day every week. (best not clash with the salad day or I'll be a nightmare to live with!) Should save me...hummm... around £1 a week.

    4) List at least one item a week on ebay or amazon or do a car boot sale. I'm desperate to have a bit of a de-clutter, hubby is a natural hoarder! We have a car boot sale planned for next sunday so I am already on schedule for this:D

    5) Cleanse my face everynight. I'm lazy about this:o and as I have naturally bad skin I really really must make more of an effort. I bought some BOGOF cleansing wipes this week so I've no excuse, althoguh I'm sure they're probably a rip off & soap & water would do the trick:cool:

    6) Be stricter with myself about sticking to the grocery budget. I'm good with the others, food is my downfall:rolleyes:

OK, day 1 and I have made a start.

    1) I weighed myself today, I am 10st 10lbs:eek: according to the scales in Boots. I'd like to get to around the 10st mark.

    2) I ate an egg salad for lunch & it was yummy:D, I added sundried tomatoes, olives & sunflower seeds to jazz it up a bit & I thoroughly enjoyed it!

    3) I was feeling brave so I decided to make today my chocolate free day. It was a struggle as I sat watching hubby eat a giant kit kat so I had a couple of marshmellows:o, but at least I have resisted the chocolate! (so far!)

    4) Last night I relisted something which failed to sell the first time around on ebay, so if it sells this time the listing will be free;). We are also planning a car boot sale next weekend but only if we can get a baby sitter as I don't fancy doing it with a 21 month old in tow!

    5) Well, I cleansed last night, have left the wipes on the pillow so that I can't forget tonight!;)

    6) Nothing happened grocery shopping wise so nothing to report yet.

I am going to add a number 7! I have a Davina Macall workout DVD lurking in the back of the cupboard, I think I have used it once!:o I am going to make more of an effort with it and aim for a minimum of once a week! It will have to be later this week though as we have things planned for the next few days.

Hope everyone else is doing well?

    Great idea! :T

This is what I want to do:

    1. Drink more water, preferably 1.5 litres a day.
    2. Eat more healthily. Cut down on all the bad foods that seem to taste so good and start eating more fruit and veg! Also start eating breakfast every day.
    3. Exercise. I am doing the Race for Life in July and am hoping to run the whole thing even though I may need oxygen at the finish line! Need to buy some running shoes before I can start training. Also start doing toning exercises.
    4. Always take my make-up off before I go to bed.
    5. Clear £2000 off my debt.
    6. Start matched betting, hopefully the profits from this will help with my debt-clearing.
    7. Work harder at my OU course.
    8. Continue to keep spending diary and stick to budget – I find this forum helps to motivate me to do that.

Good luck to everybody on this thread! :D

I had a good start today too!

I was up and down the stairs so many times today. When I walked through the door someone must have just sent the lift back down as they opened for me, but I remained strong and walked up! Wheras I used to think that it was divine intervention and I simply must get the lift! :rotfl:

Also didn't purchase any extra snacks today, seems that the good meal and snacks I brought in where enough for once.

NSD so no need for the spend diary which is another good thing.

Last night I washed and the BF dried and so things looking good on the flylady front.

Decided to add one more thing I want to do as a goal. I want to be able to do the splits. I've always wanted to do the splits but never actually, erm, exercised to get there.

So going to add a stretching session to the dance session I have when I get home, and stretch myself at the end. Dug out all my old gymnastic videos and magazines to inspire myself! :T Poster of Tatiana Lysenko, my favourite when I was younger is stuck on the wall to get me stretching!

  • excellent, count me in!

    1. get down to 10 stone. I am currently 11.7 stone.

    2. declutter my crap.

    3. go to the gym more often.

just those 3, don't want to overwhelm myself.

Well I have stuck to the diet today (good start ;)) and have 2 points left over!!

I'm thinking I'm hungry but think that maybe its psychological because I seem to have eaten loads!!

On the flip side my budget went to pot  BUT if I can have NSD's up to the end of the week I should be back on track!!

Hope everyone is doing well on their first day!!
