Good luck with the interview okra.

I'm managing to stick to the new diet, though it's only been a few days. Tuesday I walked over to a work colleagues house to get a lift to work rather than drive 30 mins walk each way so that was good.

Have been studying hard as well. Still not managed to do anything in the garden but the weekend is coming so I'm sure I'll get out there at some point.

    Smile more
    Interact with people more.

I'm sure there is probably more I could be doing . . . but don't want to overload myself.

Seeing as I started this thread I figured it would be awfully poor form not to give a quick update on how I am doing.

I am loving reading other people's experiences so far, it is really inspiring to see how well you are all doing.
    Ok, here are mine;

    1. Brush my teeth 3 times a day, I need to get my oral health up to a high standard. (they are not minging by the way!)
Have managed twice a day but really need to add the third.
    2. Lose 2 stones of fat.
Not been on the scales yet, will update you soon; I have been for a decent walk every day so far though.
    3. Keep an accurate spending diary for the full 101 days.
    I need to update this.
    4. Make £100 extra money through ebay/amazon/quidco.
Zilch earned so far and zilch effort :(
    5. Stick to my established budget religiously.
    Doing well with this.
    6. Work every day towards my exams.
Done very little, this afternoon I am making an effort to change this.
    7. Pay off £1500 of my debt.
I have paid off just under £75 of this so far
    8. Smile at one different stranger every day (it is good for you).
I think I have done this, but I haven't made a conscious effort to do so.
There may be more as time goes on but the above changes will leave me feeling very happy when I have fulfilled them.

    Good luck everyone.

-take a packed lunch into work (added benifit of not needing to eat or pay for the crap canteen food!!)
Um not so good yesterday and today as was out for lunch and dinner yesterday and was kinda hungover today so sorting food in the AM was a step too far!

    2) Improve my fitness
    - dig out my pedometer and walk at least 10,000 steps a day
was approx 230 steps short yesterday so not to bad... however I've only done about 2000 so far today... looks like I'm walking a LARGE chunk of the way home!
    - use the pilates ring and dvd I got for xmas and have never used! Use it at least once a week.
    - use my walking machine thing I bought ages ago and have never even taken out of the box (do you see a theme here?? )
    - always take the stairs instead of the lift!

    3)Money
    - stick to my budget!! (I can live on this amount so why do i still overspend on crap? )
pubs and budgets are a bad mix...:p
    - save save all the money left over!!

    4) Sort out flat
    none done... must try harder!
    - get on top of my housework :o
    - declutter big time
    - spend time in my kitchen!
    - get plumbers in to quote on my bathroom revamp plans as the suite is now on its last legs!!

    5) Me
    - enjoy life
    - go out and socialise
oh managing that one a bit too well!! :naughty:
    - keep in touch with friends
    - try not to be so negative all the time!

    6) General - sort out all those annoying things I never get round to
    - sort out mortgage
    - complain to British gas and get the rest of my refund (then check who is cheapest for gas and elec and move to them!!)
    - close the bank acount i opened when i was 12 and never used other than to update the interest every year or 2!!

    7) Wish list...
    - look into to selling via craft fairs as a home business
    - get the portfolio and products ready to apply to do the above![/QUOTE]

Hmmm think I need to work on some of these!!
    Mortgage free as of 12/08/20!

    Been busy again today!

I've trudged round a few local nurseries, and found one which has places for the children and is lovely  . I have my second interview tomorrow so with a nursery in place (if I need it) I'll be in a better position to discuss  . I've also done the sums, and I'll have about 18k after deductions, and after childcare is paid for IF I get the job, and H has his own income. For the first time, I will be able to pay more than the minimums on my debts. Can't wait!

Dieting - I've been so busy I've only had time for a cheese sandwich and a diet coke so far today, so doing ok on that front. My husband has put some blinds up for me at the living room windows, too, so I can do my exercise videos without scaring the locals

Running and allotment - nil progress

    How is everyone else doing?

Ok my 101 days ends 13th August

    So over the next 101 days I will make a concentrated effort to;

    1. Stop spending on things I don't need - particularly make-up, magazines, avon, bath and hair stuff and baby clothes in the sale.
    2. Obviously save enough money each month to seriously decrease our overdraft
    3. Make more homemade healthy food instead of eating rubbish ready made stuff.
    4. Eat less chocolate
    5. Get my daughter back into a proper sleeping pattern before the new baby comes.
    6. Sit up to table every Saturday for family meal.
    7. Don't get any magazine subscriptions
    8. Don't play on bingo!!!
    9. Sort out my house as still not everything unpacked after 6 months!!!
    10. Sort through clothes, craft stuff etc and sell on ebay then save money for overdraft.

Good luck to everyone else with their challenge.

    Day 4's update :

    2) eat a salad meal at least once every 2 days.
    Ticked this box:D

    4) List at least one item a week on ebay or amazon or do a car boot sale.
Got 13 watchers on my previously unsellable ebay cupboard but this happend last time & no-one bid for it so I am also going to print out a big photo & the measurements & stick it on the side of the car during tomorrows car boot sale. The weather is looking decidedly dodgy though, everyone please do a sun dance for me!

    5) Cleanse my face everynight.
    Still ticking this box too!:D

    6) Be stricter with myself about sticking to the grocery budget.
Erm,......well, I'm not saying I have failed but I can't say I haven't because I haven't actually doen this months budget yet:o I need to sort money out & move it around so that it is all in the corerct places. I have done this weeks shop & spent a bit more than the weekly average but that is bacuse it is the 1st shop of the month & always a bit bigger, so hopefully we'll be OK:undecided

Hope everyone else is enjoying their own challanges;)

Glad everyone sees to be doing so well!

I've had a bit of a slower start than I would like been hectic at work but that does not matter, i'm on the right way now and thats whats important! My house is also getting in order thanks to Flylady.

Off to see my parents today and am pleased with myself as I made sure to purchase stuff for lunch today so I don't spend a small fortune on rubbish at service stations, also budgeted for petrol costs so its all a ok. Its always good healthy food at home and I'll take the dogs out for a nice long walk. Other than that just chill out and catch up!

Done some very tasty mealplans for next week and I only really need to buy some fruit and veg as i'm still using up stuff in the freezer. Going to take 10 minutes to sit down and structure a bit more of a plan for my part-time work, I can do it whenever I want but things have been a bit ad-hoc and i'm not getting as much done as I should and then I stress out.

    Goals for this week:

    Keep up with Flylady.
List my books on amazon/green metropolis.
Sort out a box for car boot things so they don't get mixed in with my ebay stuff and are out of the way!
Put a box or bag in the cupboard for things that would make good gifts for people I know.
Take x 3 walks (building up to start a running programme)
Stick to my morning/evening beauty routine.
Try and up my water intake - no cup of tea until I have drunk my glass - I'm a tea-aholic.
Make my lunch when I make dinner so I don't forget!
Buy new wiper blades for my car - actually as i'm driving past Halfords this a.m. I can stop off and do it then!

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    Swish

Well, the second interview went well, I think. The good news is, it went well enough for them to offer me a job there and then. The bad news is, it wasn't the job I applied for. It is the same thing, just in a different department, and different hours. I'm not sure whether I can actually work those hours. They had obviously made a mistake somewhere, so they said they will come back to me about the original job. My husband is convinced that I've blown it now . I'm going to have a look round and apply for some more jobs.

Diet and exercise aren't going well. Allotment isn't either.

    Better luck next week, huh?
