No free solution for doing this phone, if you buy £30 worth of credit from virgin they will unlock it for you or you can use one of the people on ebay who will unlock it but you will have to send your phone off to do that.

Yes you can, as soon as there has been £30 credit put on you call virign up on 789 and ask them to unlock it for you.

They can be unlocked but not by free code if you have a t28 serial datacable you can unlcok it for £8.00

How much would it cost to unlock a LG Chocolate? hopefully not mroe than £10. It can only be done by wires, right?

My shops saying £20 but thats central london so need to go out abit further to see if I can get it cheaper or is it £20ish everywhere?

It can be done by cable but the best way is to buy the unlocking clip off ebay for £14 and the resell the clip to reclaim most of your money
