Hi Mate
There is no way of unlocking the V3 for free with a code, I suggest a look on ebay, if you have the cable with it then you can buy the software for £1.00 if not then there is someone on ebay who will unlock it for £9.00 via a code0 -

thank you
Hope this helps:-
Requirements
An SPV C500 (this method apparently works for the C550 and C600 too)
A USB Cable
ActiveSync installed and working
An Orange SIM (doesn't have to be active, though)
How to unlock the phone
Connect the phone to your computer, and verify ActiveSync connects ok.
Download regeditSTG.zip and copy to the phone using ActiveSync. Make sure you use the zip file - the .exe alone will not properly work, and the phone can handle zip files natively.
Using the File Manager (Start, more, more, accessories, file manager on my phone) navigate to the directory you saved the file to, open the .zip file, and run the regedit.exe file inside.
To "application unlock" the phone, change the following registry values:
In: HKLM/Security/Policies/Policies
Change 00001001 from current value to 1
Change 00001005 from current value to 40
Turn the phone off and back on.
Download spv-services.zip to your PC, and unzip.
Copy the cert.cab file over to your phone, find it using File Manager, and let it run the cert.cab file. This will install an app signing certificate that the next step relies on.
Run the SPVServices.exe file on your PC - it will communicate with your phone via activesync. Please note that this file connects to a remote server to do the unlocking calculations, so requires an internet connection. I also found that it doesn't work properly if you have IE7 (beta 2 in my case) installed. Rolling back to IE6 made the application work properly. Hopefully this will be resolved in a future release.
Finally, test the phone with your non-orange SIM card.0 -
Thankyou that got at least all the software working again, however i just get a successful message but when i try the sim (o2) i get a network locked enter unlock code on the phone. any further advise welcome (the last was great as got my active sync working again because of it)0

V3x needs a puc code from the network that you were on to be able to unlock it.

Hi Guys,
Just had a cool couple of hours reading thru these messages (got as far as page 6 and YES I did read the sticky at the top)
Hubby bought a Motorola A920 from a friend at work who took his sim card with him to his new phone. The Moto is locked to O3. Rang them and the cost to unlock is. . . wait for it. . .£130!!!!! (Can I hear your jaws hitting the floor cos Hubby's did). Very disappointed he relegated his lovely new toy to the bottom of his wardrobe, never to see the light of day again!
Its his birthday soon and I thought it would be cool to surprise him with his toy all working and looking great.
Have tried remoteunlocker today but their test download will not load onto my computer (took down the firewall, allowed the cookies, nothing helped). Read further and something caught my eye - this 'cable' you keep mentioning is that just a USB for the phone you have. If so, have one of those, but dont have the drivercd (guy at work couldnt find it). The drivers from remoteunlocked obviously did not download. Do I need to take the phone to a guy on the market? Would it help if I took the USB with me. Do you know of such a guy in the East Mids? We live near Loughborough.
Any help you could give would be great.0 -

Hi, please look at hti website:- http://www.foneszone.co.uk/code_unlock_here/Motorola/A920.php
They can do it remotely via code or via the usb cable you have, they provide the drivers and any software needed and will unlock it over an internet connection.

Thanks for the reply, that was quick.
Checked site as suggested.
Codes not available was the message I got as I scrolled thru the different screens. Went to the cable download via internet section, load the software, all ready to pay the money (although £32 seemed a bit steep too), then hit a snag. It wants me to hold down the star and the hash keys as I switch on the power. Cant do that the A920 is a touch screen phone!!??!!
What shall I do now?0
