Yes I think all the V tariffs were raised by this amount last September but this was the only raise in 2006 as far as I'm aware (it was the only one I experienced anyway) whereas I'm sure BG amongst others raised their prices several times throughout the year.
It would be great if EDF now reduced the prices on the V tariffs by the amount they put them up but I just don't see it happening since most of the V tariffs are still the cheapest around despite no price reduction. If you are on V3 you may well not be able to find anything cheaper in your area but it's a good idea to check regularly just in case.

Michelle
Yes I do check regularly but there's nothing on the market to beat this tariff, so I think I'll stay put for the time being:)0 -

Anyone know if the EDF Energy Online tariff is likely to go down?
I only switch to this in Feb 2007, but not the price comparison sites are showing I can save £85 by moving again.
I can get savings as follows:
Utilita = £85
Powergen Online = £73
BG Click Energy 2 Dual Fuel = £50
Npower = £60
Scottish Power online v3 Dual = £60
One big difference I have noticed between these is how much of the annual price is made up of the annual discount:
Utilita = £85
Powergen Online = £195
BG Click Energy 2 Dual Fuel = £95
Npower = £85
Scottish Power online v3 Dual = £25
These seems a really sneaky way of doing things as you need to be very careful when you move away from these guys as you lose the discounts. I can't believe powergen have 18% of the annual price as a discount!!!
The big advantage of EDF is that there are no discounts, so you can move away any time!
The question is, will the EDF online tariff decrease as all I see on the EDF website about price reductions is the standard tariff.0 -
I'm pretty certain that the online tariffs are not due to go down. I take it you are on V5? This is not as cheap as the earlier versions of EDF Online tariffs so it may be worthwhile moving.
Just check you tariff details very carefully.0 -

Yes I am on EDF v5 online tariff.
I have emailed EDF to ask them. I have quoted the prices for Npower, Powergen, BritishGas and Scottish Power showing they are all far cheaper than EDF online now.0
