Forgot to say, where is the heat all going, just to the rads?~~~~~~~~~~~~Halifax, taking the Xtra since 1853:rolleyes:~~~~~~~~~~~~0

Is there water in the tank up there ?
Still sounds like that three port valve has failed like I mentioned earlier. You really need to get a heating engineer to check it out before something goes catastophically wrong. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0 -

If there wasn't water in the hot tank, it wouldn't be coming out of the hot water tap, even though it is ice cold?Is there water in the tank up there ?

This http://wiki.diyfaq.org.uk/images/thumb/1/14/Y-Plan-Water.gif/512px-Y-Plan-Water.gif is basically your system, from it you can see easily what the three port valve does and where it should roughly be.You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Yes. Usually one black cable, which would normally go back to your heating controller.0

I did it

I started at the beginning when my trouble started and I'd put a new fuse in for the pump.
I returned the stat to the return pipe and set it at 70, turned the dial on the pump to the centre and waited an hour for the stat/rads to kick in. Turned on the hot tap and hot water came out lol~~~~~~~~~~~~Halifax, taking the Xtra since 1853:rolleyes:~~~~~~~~~~~~0
