    Thanks :)

I'm still pleased as it's shown I really needed to move on... but haven't yet got confirmation of the salary :(. Will be following that up in the next few days. Also on the bright side, it means I'm out meeting new people and that's got me thinking about potentially meeting men :)

I've been so tired I have eaten nothing but ready meals and takeaway for the last week and haven't been to the gym in two. Finally getting some evenings free and also getting my summer clothes out, so am going to get the switchover finished up tomorrow night and go back to the gym on Sunday. Going to a birthday party on Saturday night and not sure how many people I'll know so a bit eeek about the whole thing but have said I'll turn up now, so I ought to.

The cats have just had a scrap for no apparent reason and I am worried that they're really not getting along :(. They would both be difficult to rehome and I would hate to give either of them up now so the new Feliway refill is plugged in and I just hope it works out somehow.

I should update the spreadsheet but have already done enough boring stuff this evening :-p

Oh and something I should write down so I can muse about it later - a couple of people at work have said 'oh so it's finally going right for you' and it bugged me. Is my life that much of a rut? Doesn't it look like anything else goes right for me?

Am probably just being grumpy and/ or paranoid, but anyway. Probably time to consider a plan.

Don't take it to heart Rosa, perhaps they just meant that all your hard work has paid off with the new position - maybe they don't appreciate or know about all the other good things in your life x

Oh, and try not to worry tooo much about the cats unless they are scrapping badly on a regular basis. When we had two they weren't exactly best buddies, they more tolerated each other but still had the odd tiff every now and again. The only time you'd see them together was outside as our boy was boss of the street, our female got picked on a lot and she sussed that by staying near him, she was safe. :)

Very good point. Especially as I don't mix my work and personal life. Though I probably should worry a little about the fact that I can't come up with a long list of positive things either - atm it's still running to 'I'm not trying to both work and study any more' :rotfl: so need to whatchacallit, move to some attainment not avoidance goals :D

They were both sleeping on the sofa by the end of the evening. Have concluded they only do it to confuse me.

Now that's not true, you've got your lovely flat, your two moggies, your garden, attained a better work / life balance now the study is complete, actually completed your study (a BIG well done for that), have had the confidence to want to and actually make changes in your life to make you happier..need I go on? :) (the only thing you're missing out on is getting back to pole classes :rotfl:;))

The mogs had obviously fallen out over something but so long as it's a short lived tiff i'd try not to stress about it.
Ours came rolling over the fence mid fight with the neighbours cat last weekend (and I mean literally rolling over it together like a big furry tumbleweed )

    I been thinking.

Well job-wise it's all got a bit complicated since it seem they weren't really advertising a new role after all, only the directors of the sections didn't understand that either, upshot being I don't get that salary unless I a) accept an unreasonable level of hassle or b) play a couple of remaining cards rather cleverly. I am cross but not disappointed as such, as I rather suspected this would happen. And I am quite prepared to simply resign in record time, which would rather embarrass several people.

The landlord is selling my flat :/. I need to check my contract, but I think he has to sell it with me as a tenant til my current contract ends, which may put off other offers for a bit, although he was saying another landlord might just buy it. I have the salary to get sufficient mortgage, but not the deposit. IF I were to get the salary I thought I was applying for, I would have a hope of scraping it together by the end of my contract, but I can't do that on my current salary and still pay off my high interest remaining debts. However, it's been really good to realise that the option is coming closer to reality and that's what has got me thinking.

    Upshot so far:
    • I'm going to open a save to buy account and start putting some money in it each month. As I'm giving up the facials - they managed to finally sell me one of the products last time and it turns out my skin reacts to it - I can at least use this money and add to it if possible.
    • I'm only going to aim to pay off my high interest debts before saving a deposit. The low interest stuff is on a low rate life of balance and can be paid off gradually.
    • I'm going to look at what's needed for a mortgage and begin to look around to see what I want. If I could get this place cheap that would be good, but it does need work and there may be other places I'd rather have.
    • If I don't get the salary I wanted, and/ or a reasonable expectation of it within six months, I shall start job hunting properly.

Going to open the account on Saturday :)

House deposit account now opened - and felt so inspired I went straight back out of town without doing any shopping :rotfl:

I did have to pay for dry cleaning as I picked up my winter coats - and at £25 they can go in a wool wash next time. Mind you, the woman in front of me was paying A HUNDRED AND NINETY POUNDS  for what as far as I could tell was a few ordinary shirts and a pair of tweed trousers. Looks like there's a whole world of dry cleaning expense I shall never see :D

Do you have a tumble dryer Rosa? Dr Beckman do home dry-cleaning kits - seems to be a wipe of some sort and then you tumble the items with the wipe to freshen them. Can't vouch for it myself as I don't have a dryer. I know what you mean about the cost of dry cleaning, but on balance with the cost of the coat and number of wears its a cost I will pay for my winter coats.

Hm, that might be an option for next year. I have paid for my tweed coats the last couple of years but am beginning to think that maybe a very gentle wool wash would do in future.

Still can't get over £190 though

Been shopping today and v proud of myself :A

Bought a pair of fab work trousers in T7Maxx for a whole £13 :) and a silk skirt and top for get this - £10 :j . They are a perfect fit though definitely an outfit better suited to wearing out when already with a boyfriend as liable to attract the wrong kind of attention otherwise. So I'd better get on and find one to appreciate them :D

Didn't buy anything else - am having one of those phases where I'm not sure how I want to put myself across iyswim. So it was useful to just browse, and I'm really pleased that I didn't feel any temptation to buy random stuff.

Working on sorting out my wardrobe and think my next mission might finally be Eba9 since that money can now go straight in the house account.
