Awww Rosa, you sound in a very good place indeed (amen to the housing market too, it's bonkers). Your writing style often reminds me of a particular friend of mine - in fact a very dear friend I've had since school, whom I don't see enough but think about often. Sounds like your holiday did you the world of good.

Where do you possibly want to move to?

I hear you "I'm going to rent somewhere that has a decent kitchen so I can cook, a decent bathroom so I can wallow in bubbles every week, and space for friends to stay "this sounds a wonderful idea ...........I'd kill for a bath ...lol :)

  • Also, I think I'm starting to get a clearer picture of what needs to go on my vision board. Which is currently still sitting in a bag waiting to be sorted and hung up.

So please nag me about it this week :)

Are you sure??? I'm really good at nagging:rotfl:

Oooo, I've just put up a vision board - have to say, it's been quite the eye opener. *cracks knuckles and readies self to support the firing of Sam's 'leadership' qualities at Rosa*

noooo not the knuckle cracking.... please...

*removes hands from ears and looks around warily*

Well I'm reporting in to say that although I haven't got all my receipts sorted yet, I have been brave enough to sort them into date order. Suffice to say I think I spent soooo much money!

And yet it was worth it, I am still feeling really good.

Job application done earlier in the week, and flat now tidied a bit - including ditching a chair which I don't need and gets in the way of the view of the garden. The place looks bigger already and now I will be motivated to both use and sort the garden in the time I'm still here - my poor plants need some tlc :o. The cat will not be impressed as he liked to sleep on that chair but I've put his blanket in that corner instead :).

Haven't got to the vision board yet but will do :)

    Hello Rosa,

I've just caught up on your last few posts and they were so heart warming. During every day life I think we get caught up in what's going on in a moment, whereas a holiday allows us some reflection. You definitely deserve to meet that wonderful someone!

I don't generally like to nag, but I really feel the urge to here. Your head is in such a good and positive place that you need to get that vision board started now! Before every day life starts to dim things a little. Give yourself that wonderful boost and visualisation each day! You'll be so glad you did!

Why are you still reading this????

That's you with your board! :)

In all seriousness, I'd love to hear that you've set it up as I really feel they put us on a path towards the things we truly want.

Aw thanks MT, that's a great motivation. I haven't got to it yet and may not til Sunday as I've started to face the post-holiday money music tonight, have dance class tomorrow and have college Friday and Saturday... but I might start sorting through the pics quickly and look for some more.

I think it's going to look quite different from what I originally expected - and I also think this is a good thing.

Well I've put all the receipts in YNAB, haven't yet checked it against bank statement as enough trauma for one day!

I'm over budget by about £250 :o but it was worth it. Things will come back under control this month - having paid off the holiday including my backpack, cut down my repayment of college fees to a nominal amount for June and July, and allowed for replacement passport fees as mine has expired (now I'm getting the hang of this holiday idea :D).

I would have said that I'd then make a major effort to clear the college fees in August and September... but... I might be going on holiday again in August - back to where I've just been :rotfl: and that can't wait for the winter whereas college fees on 0% can.

    Hello Rosa,

How are you doing? Did you have a good weekend? How was college?

Did you manage to start on your vision board on Sunday? Or was your brain fried from 2 days of college and all that heat?

Exciting that you're going back to your holiday destination. Is this to see the new lovely man?
